Abstract

PT.

Based on Government Regulation, PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap together with PLN integrated its electricity system. Integration that has been carried out is transferring non-essential loads from existing into PLN feeders to be supplied directly by PLN Sources. This system is phase 1 system carried out by Pertamina along with PLN to improve their system reliability. A good coordination protection system must be able to quickly isolate an interruption that occurs in system so that unwanted things such as cessation of electricity production system, severe equipment damage, even a blackout can be avoided. The important thing that needs to be considered in coordination protection of power system is to improve the performance of relay by determining relay setting parameters itself which is Time Dial Setting (TDS). In the practice, frequently operators have difficulty in finding the right setting of TDS Relay(51). It takes a long time to find the right setting of TDS because they use trial and error in finding it. To simplify and shorten the calculation time of inverse Overcurrent Relay settings, in this final project writer make a program to calculate TDS with Adaptive Modified Firefly Algorithm Method. The result of this final project is to obtain the right setting of TDS with minimum time operation, CTI, and TCC curve selection as well to ensure the coordination protection is correct.
