Abstract

Tapping and washing machine autoloader plant merupakan salah satu penerapan sistem otomasi di dunia industri manufaktur. Plant tersebut merupakan bagian proses dari keseluruhan proses pembuatan housing differential gear. Proses yang terjadi pada plant diantaranya adalah proses pembuatan ulir (tapping) pada empat titik di masing-masing sisi end housing serta proses pembersihan benda kerja (washing) dari sisa proses permesinan. Untuk menjalankan sistem secara otomatis pada plant, diperlukan programmable logic controller (PLC) sebagai kontrolernya. PLC Ladder diagram merupakan salah satu jenis metode yang digunakan untuk memprogram PLC. Terdapat beberapa metode untuk mendesign ladder diagram, metode yang digunakan pada tugas akhir ini adalah metode sequence chart. Alur proses plant akan dimodelkan dengan metode tersebut sehingga pada akhirnya akan menghasilkan ladder diagram yang dapat diimplementasikan pada PLC yang digunakan pada plant. Dari hasil kontruksi ladder diagram didapatkan jumlah rung sebanyak 111 yang terdiri dari 3 rung inisiasi 58 rung input dan 50 rung output.

Tapping and washing machine autoloader plant is one of the application of automation systems in the manufacturing industry. The plant is a sub-system of the entire process of making a housing differential gear. The process that occurs in the plant includes the process of making threads (tapping) at four points on each side of the end housing and the process of cleaning the workpiece (washing) from the rest of the machining process. To run the system automatically at the plant, a programmable logic controller (PLC) is required as the controller. The PLC Ladder diagram is one type of method used to program the PLC. There are several methods for designing ladder diagrams, the method used in this final project is the sequence chart method. The flow of the plant process will be modeled with the method so that in the end it will produce a ladder diagram that can be implemented on the PLC used in the plant. From the results of the ladder diagram construction, there were 111 rung consisting of 3 rung initiations, 58 input rung and 50 output rung.
