Abstract

Beberapa penelitian mengenai FACTS devices sebagai solusi dari berbagai permasalahan jaringan transmisi telah banyak dilakukan. Pemasangan FACTS devices, termasuk salah satunya Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM), pada sistem memiliki dampak positif pada sistem tersebut. Salah satu dampak positif dari pemasangan FACTS adalah kemampuan FACTS untuk dapat melakukan controlling power flow saluran pada sistem. STATCOM sendiri adalah seperangkat peralatan elektronika daya yang berbasis Voltage Source Converter (VSC). STATCOM akan disimulasikan penerapannya pada sistem transmisi Jawa-Madura-Bali (JAMALI). Sistem JAMALI sendiri merupakan sistem yang dianggap sebagai backbone dari sistem transmisi listrik yang ada di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu simulasi dilakukan dengan melihat potensi dari FACTS apabila nantinya diaplikasikan. Pada Tugas Akhir ini simulasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan software PSS/E 33 yang kemudian hasil dari simulasi tersebut akan dianalisis. Tujuan dari tugas akhir ini adalah mensimulasikan kemungkinan pemasangan FACTS Devices, dalam hal ini STATCOM, pada sistem JAMALI dan mengetahui dampak dari pemasangan pada sistem JAMALI serta analisisnya.

Several studies on FACTS devices as a solution to various transmission network problems have been carried out. Installation of FACTS devices including Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM), on the system has a positive impact on the system. One of the positive effects of installing FACTS is the ability of FACTS to be able to control the power flow channels on the system. STATCOM itself is a set of power electronics equipment based on Voltage Source Converter (VSC). STATCOM will simulate its application to the Java-Madura-Bali (JAMALI) transmission system. The JAMALI system itself is a system that is considered as the backbone of the electricity transmission system in Indonesia. Therefore the simulation is done by looking at the potential of FACTS when it is later applied. In this Final Project the simulation is carried out using PSS / E 33 software, then the results of the simulation will be analyzed. The purpose of this final project is to simulate the possibility of installing FACTS Devices, in this case STATCOM, on the JAMALI system and find out the impact of the installation on the JAMALI system and its analysis.
