Abstract

Manufaktur merupakan sektor industri dimana menerapkan teknologi untuk mengubah barang mentah menjadi barang jadi yang memenuhi standar spesifikasi. Salah satu contoh plan pada industri manufaktur adalah tapping and washing machine autoloader. Benda kerja atau material mengalami proses pemberian ulir,pendistribusian, dan pembersihan dari kotoran sisa proses pemberian ulir. Plan tersebut menggunakan kontroler agar mesin-mesin dapat bekerja sesuai dengan yang dibutuhkan. Kontroler yang digunakan adalah Programmable Logic Controller. PLC menggunakan memori yang dapat diprogram menggunakan beberapa jenis pemrograman, antara lain function block, statement list, dan ladder diagram. Pada pengaplikasian plan tapping and washing machine autoloader digunakan jenis pemrograman ladder diagram. Kompleksnya proses yang dilalui pada plan mengakibatkan rentan terjadi kesalahan dalam perancangan ladder diagram. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, maka digunakan metode khusus untuk merancang ladder diagram. Metode yang digunakan pada tugas akhir ini adalah metode Huffman. Dengan metode ini ladder diagram dapat dirancang lebih terstruktur dan efisien. Pada tugas akhir ini terbentuk ladder diagram dengan jumlah 129 rung, 615 kontak, 1 timer, 4 counter, 67 inputs dan 49 outputs.

Manufacture is an industrial sector where it applies technology to convert raw goods into finished goods that meet specification standards. One example of a plant in the manufacture us tapping and washing machine autoloaders. The working unit undergoes a thread giving process, distributing process, and washing process to make it clean from residual object by thread giving process. The plant uses a controller so that the machines can work as needed. The controller used is Programmable Logic Controller. PLC uses programmable memory that can be programmed with several types of programming language, including function blocks, statement lists, and ladder diagram. In the plant, ladder diagram is used. The complexity of the process traversed in the plant results in an error in designing the ladder diagrams. To overcome this, special method is used to design ladder diagrams. The method used in this final project is Huffman method. With this method ladder diagrams can be designed more structured and efficient.This final project formed ladder diagram with 129 rungs,615 contacts, 1 timer, 4 counters, 615 inputs and 49 outputs.
