Abstract

Gaming Experience atau pengalaman bermain senantiasa berubah dari masa ke masa. Sebagai contoh permainan berjenis simulasi menyediakan pengalaman yang mirip seperti dunia nyata yang disuguhkan dalam permainan yang seru. Jenis game ini termasuk sangat populer karena memiliki nilai edukasi yang tinggi dan terbukti dapat menyampaikan nilai-nilai pembelajaran yang efektif tanpa mengurangi unsur menyenangkan dalam permainan. Penulis menghadirkan sebuah permainan yang bernama Tower Blocks berbasis teknologi realitas virtual. Permainan ini menyimulasikan penyusunan menara setinggi-tingginya dengan cara menjatuhkan balok-balok dari katrol. Google Daydream digunakan sebagai media penampilan permainan ini. Konsentrasi dan fokus yang tinggi dibutuhkan oleh para pemain Tower Blocks agar mereka dapat menyusun menara yang tinggi dan bersaing dengan para pemain lain yang terdaftar di papan nilai daring (scoreboard). Terdapat dua macam pengujian yang digunakan yaitu uji fungsionalitas dan usability testing. Lima buah poin digunakan pada uji fungsionalitas dan seluruhnya berhasil diuji. Sedangkan untuk usability testing menggunakan tiga buah parameter yaitu antarmuka yang menghasilkan 85%, immersivity 74,6%, dan kenyamanan 86%.

Gaming experience has been changing over time. For example simulation based games provide experience similar to the real world. These games are presented in an exciting way. They become very popular as they have educative values and are able to provide effective sharing values without reducing the fun aspects. The author presents a game called Tower Blocks. It is a a simulation-based game in which the goal is to build a tower as high as possible by dropping blocks appearing under a pulley. Google Daydream is used as a media display. This game requires high focus and concentration from the player so that they can arrange tall towers and compete with other players on the online scoreboard. There are two types of testing method that be used, functionality testing and usability testing. Five points were used in the functionality testing and all were successfully tested. While for usability testing using three parameters, interface parameter that produce 85%, immersivity 74.6%, and convenience 86%.
