Abstract
Aktivitas utama gudang terdiri dari receiving, put away, picking, dan dispatch. Setiap aktivitas harus berjalan secara efektif dan efisien agar fungsi gudang dalam menjamin proses produksi hingga proses pengiriman finished goods kepada konsumen berjalan dengan lancar. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu menerapkan lean warehousing guna mereduksi aktivitas pergudangan yang tidak memiliki nilai tambah. Dalam mewujudkan continuous improvement pada operasional gudang juga dibutuhkan sebuah tools untuk melakukan controlling dan evaluasi secara berkala berupa pengukuran kinerja.
Saat ini belum banyak literatur akademik yang membahas hubungan antara lean warehousing dan pengukuran kinerja. Sehingga pada penelitian ini dirancang model lean warehouse performance metrics (WPM). Model ini memiliki 3 bagian penting yaitu performance indicator, waste, dan waste reduction practices (WRP). Terdapat 5 aspek performance yang akan diukur yaitu quality, cost, productivity, utilization, dan time. Implementasi model lean WPM ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi dari aktivitas gudang yang berlangsung.
Uji coba model lean WPM dilakukan pada gudang perusahaan pengolahan susu. Berdasarkan penilaian yang telah dilakukan, terdapat performance indicator yang tidak tercapai antara lain damaged inventory dan validate order time pada dry storage serta picking productivity, picking time, dan storage utilization pada cold storage. Selanjutnya dilakukan identifiksi waste, analisis, dan penerapan WRP. Hasilnya yaitu perusahaan diestimasikan memiliki pencapaian validate order time sebesar 9,25 menit, picking productivity meningkat sebesar 8 pallet setiap orang setiap jam, dan picking time berkurang sebesar 24,02%. Hasil tersebut membuktikan implementasi model lean WPM mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan perusahaan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model lean WPM yang telah disusun memiliki sifat robust terhadap objek penelitian.

The main activities of the warehouse consist of receiving, put away, picking, and dispatch. Every activity must run effectively and efficiently so that the warehouse function in ensuring the production process until the process of shipping finished goods to consumers runs smoothly. One of the efforts that can be done is implementing lean warehousing to reduce warehousing activities that have no added value. In actualizing continuous improvement for warehouse operations, a tool is also needed to do controlling and periodic evaluation in the form of performance measurements. Up until now, there are only a few academic literature that discusses this topic or the relationship between lean warehousing and performance measurement. So, this research will design a warehouse operational performance assessment model with a lean warehousing approach which will be referred to Warehouse Performance Metrics (WPM). This model has three important parts, which are performance indicators, waste, and waste reduction practices (WRP). The five aspects of performance that will be measured are quality, cost, productivity, utilization, and time. Implementation of the lean WPM model is expected to be able to increase effectiveness and efficiency in warehousing activities.
Trial test of the lean WPM model was conducted in a milk processing warehouse company. Based on the assessments that have been done, there are unachieved performance indicators as follows, damaged inventory, validate order time on dry storage, picking productivity, picking time, and storage utilization at cold storage. Next step is the identification of waste, analysis, and application of WRP. The results show that company is estimated to have an achievement of validating order time of 9.25 minutes, picking productivity increases by eight pallets per person every hour and picking time decreased by 24.02%. These results prove that the implementation of the lean WPM model is able to solve the company's problems. So, it can be concluded that the lean WPM model that has been made is robust towards the research object.
