Abstract

Pengolahan lumpur tinja di IPLT merupakan kegiatan pengolahan lanjutan dari lumpur tinja di tangki septik belum layak dibuang ke lingkungan karena masih mengandung beban organik yang tinggi. Pengolahan IPLT dilakukan secara fisik dan biologis untuk mendegradasi beban organik dan nutrien pada lumpur tinja. Pengolahan IPLT selain membawa dampak positif namun juga membawa dampak negatif bagi lingkungan dari effluen yang dihasilkan dalam proses pengolahan lumpur tinja. IPLT Kota Batu menjadi objek dalam penelitian. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan dampak pencemaran lingkungan dari proses pengolahan lumpur tinja di IPLT Kota Batu dengan Metode Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) dan menentukan alternatif dalam mengurangi dampak pencemaran lingkungan dengan Metode Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Life cycle assessment (LCA) digunakan untuk melakukan penilaian dampak lingkungan dengan metode Impact 2002+. Data setiap siklus proses pengolahan dianalisis dengan software SimaPro 8.5.2. LCA adalah metode untuk menganalisis dampak lingkungan dari suatu produk sepanjang siklus hidup. Tahapan LCA yaitu goal dan scope, life cycle inventory (LCI), life cycle impact assessment (LCIA), dan interpretation data. Kemudian dilakukan pemilihan alternatif dalam mengurangi dampak pencemaran lingkungan menggunakan Metode Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). AHP adalah menguraikan masalah yang kompleks menjadi suatu hasil yang representasi dalam suatu struktur multi level dengan aplikasi expert choice. Tahapan AHP yaitu input goal, criteria, dan alternative; pembobotan dan skala prioritas; dan menghasilkan jawaban atau keputusan yang dianjurkan. Hasil dari masing-masing proses pengolahan berbeda-beda. Dampak pencemaran lingkungan dari metode LCA pada proses pengolahan lumpur tinja adalah global warming sebesar 3.948,935 kg CO2/tahun, non renewable energy sebesar 1.100.334,84 MJ, dan aquatic eutrophication sebesar 3.624,647 PDF-m2.y. Setelah diketahui dampak pencemaran lingkungan dilakukan analisis alternatif. Analisis alternatif digunakan sebagai dasar dalam penentuan prioritas cara mengurangi dampak pencemaran dalam proses pengolahan lumpur tinja di IPLT Kota Batu. Alternatif terbaik guna mengurangi dampak pencemaran lingkungan dengan metode AHP adalah melakukan perawatan pengolahan secara terjadwal.

The processing of sludge in the IPLT is an advanced processing activity of sludge in septic tanks that is not feasible to be disposed of into the environment because it still contains high organic loads. IPLT processing is carried out physically and biologically to degrade organic and nutrient loads in fecal sludge. The processing of IPLT has a positive impact but also has a negative environmental impact from the effluent produced in the treatment process of sludge. IPLT Kota Batu became the object of research. This study aims to determine the impact of environmental pollution from the treatment process of sludge in the IPLT Kota Batu with the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Method and determine alternatives in reducing the impact of environmental pollution by the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) Method. Life cycle assessment (LCA) was used to conduct an environmental impact assessment with the Impact 2002+ method. Data for each cycle of the processing process was analyzed using SimaPro 8.5.2 software. LCA is a method for analyzing the environmental impact of a product throughout the life cycle. LCA stages are goals and scope, inventory life cycle (LCI), life cycle impact assessment (LCIA), and data interpretation. Then an alternative selection was made to reduce the impact of environmental pollution using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) Method. AHP is describing a complex problem into a result that is represented in a multi-level structure with the application of expert choice. AHP stages are input goals, criteria, and alternatives; weighting and priority scale; and produce the recommended answer or decision. The results of each treatment process vary. The impact of environmental pollution from the LCA method on the treatment of sludge is global warming of 3,948,935 kg CO2/year, non-renewable energy of 1,100,334.84 MJ, and aquatic eutrophication of 3,624,647 PDF-m2.y. After knowing the impact of environmental pollution, an alternative analysis was carried out. An alternative analysis was used as the basis for determining the priority of ways to reduce the impact of pollution in the treatment process of sludge in the IPLT Kota Batu. The best alternative to reduce the impact of environmental pollution by the AHP method is to perform maintenance treatment on a scheduled basis.
