Abstract

The increase in the percentage of land pollution in rural areas in East Java Province in 2011 to 2014 was caused by various factors. One of the factors that led to an increase in the percentage of land pollution was the increase in industrial activities in rural areas which made population growth and activity also increase. Jetis Subdistrict is one of the densely populated areas of industrial activity where there are ± 5 large factories with dense industrial activities. Waste from the remaining industrial activities is indicated to contaminate the surrounding soil. Previous research stated that a village well water in the jetis sub-district, Lakardowo village had concentrations of heavy metals Pb, Fe, and Mn which exceeded the quality standard. Pb metal is a heavy metal that is fairly universal in terms of its source because it can be found from various sources such as the metal coating industry, steel industry, electricity industry, B3 waste storage industry, motorized vehicle exhaust and domestic activities.
There are 2 aspects in this study, namely the technical aspects of making a map of the distribution of Pb metal in soil in Jetis Subdistrict with the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and financing aspects of the preparation of PB metal contaminated soil remediation technology. In making the Pb metal distribution map, Pb metal concentration data is needed in the soil throughout the Jetis District area. The concentration data is obtained from the results of laboratory analysis. By using the transect method with a distance of 1 km x 1 km, which was spread evenly throughout the District, 63 points of soil sampling were obtained. At each point the sample will be taken using a Ring Sampling as deep as 20 cm into the ground. The soil at each sample point will be extracted first before being analyzed. The extraction method uses the Wet Digestion method and EDTA extraction. After extraction, the next sample will be analyzed using the AAS (Atomic Absorp Spectrophotometry) method to obtain Pb metal concentrations at each sample point.
The results of laboratory analysis showed that from 63 sample points, the highest sample concentrations were at sample point 52 with a concentration of 80.59 mg / kg, while the lowest concentration was at sample point 7 with a concentration of 3.13 mg / kg. The results of the analysis of Pb metal concentration at each point will be made a Map of the Distribution of Pb Metal Concentrations in Soil in Jetis Subdistrict using ArcGIS software. The distribution of lead metal concentration in Jetis Subdistrict is fairly comprehensive with fluctuating concentrations due to the many sources of lead (Pb) heavy metal contaminants. There are 3 villages that will be remediated, namely Penompo, Canggu and Mlirip using 2 methods, namely enhanced bioremediation with biochar and phytoremediation with spinach spinach plants. The costs to be invested for each method are Rp 1,356,222,400 for biochar and Rp 10,887,871,000 for phytoremediation.
