Abstract

Operasi pencarian dan penyelamatan kecelakaan pelayaran yang dilakukan oleh BASARNAS sering terkendala karena kondisi cuaca dan medan laut yang sulit. Kapal BASARNAS umumnya juga masih menggunakan fiberglass yang dapat berdampak buruk pada lingkungan. Untuk dapat mengoptimalkan kinerja BASARNAS, maka diperlukan konsep self-righting and unsinkable boat berbahan dasar plastik HDPE yaitu kapal yang dapat kembali keposisi tegak ketika rolling bahkan ketika terbalik 180° dan kapal yang tidak dapat tenggelam ketika bocor serta ramah lingkungan. Hasil dari analisa berupa kapal dengan payload 16 orang (6 kru dan 10 penumpang) dengan ukuran utama akhir: Loa= 15.311 m, Lpp= 13.728 m, B= 4.2, H= 2.1, T= 0.76 m, Vs= 30 knot dan area pelayaran zona Tanjungpinang. Kapal memiliki kemampuan self righting dengan nilai GZ selalu positif disetiap sudut dan memiliki kemampuan unsinkable dengan double skin dan double bottom berbahan dasar HDPE yang diantara ruangnya diisi dengan closed-cell polyurethane sehingga dapat memiliki gaya apung cadangan ketika terjadi kebocoran.

The search and rescue operations of shipping accidents by BASARNAS are often constrained due to weather condition and hard sea terrain problems. BASARNAS vessel generally also still use fiberglass which can have a negative impact for the environment. To optimize the performance of BASARNAS, the HDPE based self-righting and unsinkable boat concept is needed, which is a vessel that can return to its upright position when it roll even when it is 180° upside down and the vessel cannot sink when leaking and the vessel is eco friendly. The results of the analysis is vessel with a payload of 16 people (6 crew and 10 passengers) with the final main dimension: Loa = 15,311 m, Lpp = 13,728 m, B = 4.2, H = 2.1, T = 0.76 m, Vs = 30 knots and cruise area at Tanjungpinang zone. The vessel has the ability to self righting with GZ values always positive in every angle and has unsinkable capabilities with double skin and double bottom made from HDPE which between spaces are filled with closed-cell polyurethane so that it can have a reserve buoyancy when a leak occurs.
