Abstract

Pemasangan sensor photoelectric untuk mengurangi defect fibrete produk pasta gigi pada incline conveyor PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk.

Installation of photoelectric sensors to reduce defects in toothpaste products at PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk. Rungkut is designed to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the company’s production. Because often toothpaste fibrous is not completely isolated, it causes double fibrete which can cause problems in terms of safety, quality, and productivity that greatly affect the quality of the company’s performance. Therefore was need a tool that is used to detect doubt fibrous. Installation of a system on a conveyor to detect double fibrete using two photoelectric sensors to detect the presence of double fibrous then the presence of double fibrous then the motor conveyor will stop and a warning alarm will sound. Detection of double fibrete will produce a counter that will be displayed on the IoT platform, Thinger.io. When the conveyor motor stops then to revive the conveyor motor by pressing the button on the push button. The result of this double fibrete detection system is often a mistake in the process of detecting fibrous by a photoelectric sensors. In this tool using a photoelectric sensors with a detecting distance between ±(0.4 – 10) cm. The time it takes the sensors to send a data counter to Thinger.io is between ±(0.65 – 1.32)s. Percentage of detecting errors in horizontal double fibrete is 10%, and verticall is 2.5% due to fault detection or fibrous position when the detection process is less precise.
