Abstract

Geopolimer disintesis menggunakan bahan dasar abu layang dari PLTU Indramayu, Asam-Asam dan Sanggau. Abu layang diuji beberapa karakteristiknya menggunakan XRD, XRF, ICP, SEM dan PSA sebelum geopolimer disintesis. Hasil analisa XRD menunjukkan bahwa terdapat puncak-puncak khas berupa kuarsa, mullite dan calcite pada ketiga sampel abu layang dari sumber yang berbeda. Abu layang PLTU Indramayu memiliki fasa lebih amorf dibandingkan dengan abu layang dari sumber lainnya. Analisis XRF menunjukkan ketiga abu layang dari sumber yang berbeda termasuk dalam abu layang kelas F dan low calcium. Hasil uji kelarutan abu layang menunjukkan bahwa kelarutan Si dan Al tertinggi yaitu masing-masing 25,14 ppm dan 1,5 ppm yang didapatkan pada abu layang dari PLTU Indramayu. Analisis SEM menunjukkan morfologi dari abu layang PLTU Indramayu dan PLTU Asam-Asam berbentuk bulat (spherical) dengan ukuran partikel yang berbeda-beda, namun pada abu layang PLTU Sanggau bentuk morfologinya tidak beraturan. Hasil analisa PSA menunjukkan abu layang dari PLTU Sanggau memiliki tingkat kehalusan yang tinggi dibanding abu layang dari sumber lain. Abu layang PLTU Indramayu dan Asam-Asam berhasil disintesis menjadi geopolimer. Hasil uji kuat tekan tertinggi diperoleh geopolimer berbahan dasar abu layang PLTU Indramayu 7 hari dengan nilai kuat tekan sebesar 28,65 MPa. pH geopolimer berada pada rentang 12,09-12,91 yang sama dengan pH dari mortar semen PC. ================================================================================================================================
Geopolymers in this research, synthesized by fly ash from PLTU Indramayu, Asam-Asam and Sanggau were synthesized. The fly ash was tested for several characteristics using XRD, XRF, ICP, SEM and PSA before the geopolymer was synthesized. The results of the XRD analysis show that there are typical peaks in the form of quarstz, mullite and calcite in the three fly ash samples from different sources and the fly ash from PLTU Indramayu has a more amorphous phase compared to fly ash from other sources. XRF analysis shows the three fly ash from different sources including class F and low calcium fly ash. The results of fly ash solubility test showed that the highest Si and Al solubility were 25.14 ppm and 1.5 ppm respectively obtained from fly ash from Indramayu PLTU. SEM analysis represent the morphology of the fly ash of Indramayu PLTU and the Asam-Asam PLTU is spherical with different particle sizes, but in the fly ash of the Sanggau PLTU the irregular morphology forms. The results of the PSA analysis show that fly ash from the Sanggau PLTU has a high level of smoothness compared to fly ash from other sources. The fly ash from PLTU Indramayu and Asam-Asam was successfully synthesized into geopolymers. The highest compressive strength test results obtained from geopolymers based on fly ash PLTU Indramayu 7 days with compressive strength of 28.65 MPa. The geopolymer pH is in the range 12.09-12.91 which is the same as the pH of the PC cement mortar.
