Abstract

FSO (Floating Storage and Offloading) is a floating structure that function as hydrocarbons temporary storage from wells before distributed to tankers and carried to production facilities on shore. The important components used as supporting FSO operations are mooring systems and riser. Mooring systems used to limiting FSO movement due to environmental loads. Riser was carried out hydrocarbons from well to FSO. This study objectives is analysis effect of mooring system configurations to flexible riser tension. These variations consist of spread mooring, conventional buoy mooring (4 buoy), 2 other variations are combination of spread mooring and conventional buoy mooring. This analysis performs that mooring system with 4 buoys have largest flexible riser tension that is 346 kN while spread mooring have smallest flexible riser tension that is 55 kN. FSO with conventional buoy mooring configuration has largest offset and spread mooring configuration has smallest offset. Lazy wave type has smaller riser tension than free hanging type, the difference is 4 – 58%.
