Abstract
=========================================================
The Zona Air Minum Prima (ZAMP) program in Malang City currently only covers 85% of the total area. The Supit Urang 2 zone is one of the zones that fall into the category of “not ready direct consumption”. Drinking water services in the Supit Urang 2 Zone currently reach 19.3% with 3193 house connections. The service target for 2019 in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals is 100%. Quality improvement began with field surveys, quality modeling using WaterCAD software, and planning improvements to improve water quality. The field survey was carried out by distributing questionnaires and checking the pressure at 16 sample points. Drinking water quality modeling is carried out using 2 parameters, namely pressure and residual chlorine. Modeling uses secondary data and is carried out for drinking water needs in 2018 and 2028. Planning to improve drinking water quality is done to adjust field problems and modeling results.
The results of the questionnaire show that 100% of PDAM customers do not have problems with PDAM drinking water and the water quality is considered good. Customers know that PDAM water is worth direct consumption but consumption is only done if the PDAM water has gone through a heating process. This shows the lack of customer trust in the quality of PDAM drinking water and the culture of drinking water consumption. Pressure sampling shows 31.25% point having pressure below 1 bar. Pressure modeling and in 2018 produced a below standard point of 2649 points at peak hours. In the remaining chlorine there were 1818 points (26 hours) and 1374 points (32 hours) below 0.2 mg/L. In 2028 the points below standard pressure increased by 5025 points. The remaining chlorine increases up to 2257 point (26th hour) and 1199 points (32nd hour). The increase in residual pressure and the concentration of residual chlorine in the pipeline was carried out by the construction of 1 unit of elevated tank with a height of 27 m and 6 units of chlorination.
