Abstract

Masuknya mata pelajaran tentang batik sebagai muatan lokal di sekolah merupakan salah satu wujud apresiasi pengakuan batik Indonesia sebagai warisan budaya dunia oleh Organisasi Pendidikan, Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Kebudayaan PBB (UNESCO). Pembelajaran batik di sekolah dasar diangap sebagai solusi terbaik untuk memperkenalkan batik kepada anak-anak. Sebagai tahap awal, daerah-daerah sentra batik telah menerapkan kurikulum batik sebagai salah satu muatan lokal wajib. Kegiatan membatik di sekolah dasar dapat mengembangkan motorik, ketrampilan dan kreatifitas anak yang nantinya akan bertanggung jawab melestarikan batik pada generasi mendatang. Beberapa metode yang digunakan dalam merancang produk ini observasi, depth interview, affinity diagram, studi literature, studi dan analisis seperti analisis pengguna, komponen, antropometri dan ergonomi. Maka dari analisis tersebut digunakan sebagai acuan untuk konsep desain dan alternatif desain. Perancangan set membatik untuk siswa sekolah dasar diharapkan dapat memudahkan proses pembelajaran dan menambah minat untuk mempelajari batik. Desain set media pembelajaran batik dilengkapi dengan peralatan membatik dan canting elektrik yang praktis dan aman digunakan sebagai sarana edukatif yang menyenangkan agar anak-anak memahami bagaimana proses membatik. =============================================================================================================================
The entry of subjects about batik as local subject in schools is one way to appreciate the recognition of Indonesian batik as a world cultural heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Learning batik in elementary schools is considered the best solution for introducing batik to children. As an initial stage, the centers of batik have implemented the batik curriculum as one of the mandatory local subject. Batik in elementary schools can develop motoric skills and creativity of children who will later be responsible for preserving batik in future generations. Some methods used in designing this product are observation, depth interviews, affinity diagrams, literature studies and analyzes such as user analysis, components, anthropometry and ergonomics. So from the analysis it is used as a reference for design concepts and design alternatives. The design of batik sets for elementary school students is expected to facilitate the learning process and increase interest in learning batik. The design of the batik learning media set is batik equipments and electric canting tools that are practical and safe to use as a fun educational tool so that children understand how to process batik.
