Abstract
Indonesia adalah negara yang memiliki banyak spesies tumbuhan langka. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan spesies langka dari 755 spesies menjadi 1172 menurut IUCN Red List. Kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai tumbuhan langka menjadi salah satu penyebab terhambatnya proses konservasi tumbuhan langka itu sendiri. Pentingnya pengenalan pada remaja terhadap tumbuhan langka diharapkan dapat menjadi penggerak aksi konservasi tumbuhan langka. Karena itulah dibutuhkan sebuah media yang memiliki karakteristik yang dapat mengajak orang mengenali, dan menganalisa sebuah simulasi dalam kehidupan nyata. Board game menjadi salah satu media dengan karakteristik tersebut, dimana board game memiliki karakteristik experiential learning, yang berarti pemain dapat menganalisa keadaan dalam permainan dan mensimulasikannya pada kehidupan nyata.
Metode yang dilakukan dalam perancangan ini adalah menggunakan studi literatur, studi komparator, dan juga post-test purwarupa dari board game yang dibuat. Studi literatur digunakan untuk mengetahui konten yang akan dimasukkan ke dalam board game. Studi komparator digunakan untuk mendapatkan ide dalam konsep mekanik dan visual. Sedangkan post-test berfungsi untuk mengetahui keefektifan dari board game yang dibuat, hingga keseimbangan mekanik permainan.
Hasil akhir perancangan ini adalah board game dengan mekanik point-to-point movement, card drafting, dan set collection. Mekanik ini menciptakan kesan berkeliling Indonesia, dimana pemain mengumpulkan petunjuk mengenai tumbuhan langka, dan mengklaim tumbuhan tersebut. Board game ini memiliki 42 spesies tumbuhan dengan gaya gambar kartun yang sederhana untuk mempermudah pemain board game awam memahami board game tersebut. Board game dengan judul “Plantanesia” ini diharapkan menjadi media pengenalan tumbuhan langka kepada remaja.================

The lack of public knowledge about rare plants is one of the causes of the inhibition of the rare plant's own conservation process. The importance of the introduction of adolescents to rare plants is expected to be a driver of rare plant conservation actions. Because of that, we need a media that has characteristics that can invite people to recognize, and analyze a simulation in real life. Board games is one of the media with these characteristics. Board games itself as an introduction media has the characteristics of experiential learning, which means players can analyze the state of the game and simulate it in real life.
The method used in this design is to use literature studies, comparator studies, observations, and also post-test prototypes from the board game made. Literature studies are used to find out the content that will be included in the game board. Comparator studies are used to get ideas in mechanical and visual concepts. Observations were made to get a direct picture of the anatomy of plants. While the post-test functions to determine the effectiveness of the board game made, to the balance of the game mechanics.
The final result of this design is a game board with point-to-point movement, drafting cards, and set collection mechanics. This mechanic creates the impression of traveling around Indonesia, where players gather clues about rare plants, and claim the plants. This board game has 42 species of rare plants with a simple cartoon style to make it easier for ordinary board games players to understand the game. Board game with the title "Plantanesia" is expected to be a medium for the introduction of rare plants to teenagers.
