Abstract

Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (SMK3) merupakan
hal yang seharusnya diaplikasikan pada lingkungan kerja baik pada tata cara kerja
maupun lingkungan tempat bekerja. Gedung Riset Centre ITS merupakan salah satu
gedung baru yang ada di lingkungan kampus Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember
sehingga belum ada perencanaan mengenai SMK3 pada gedung tersebut. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk memberikan perencanaan Emergency Response Plan (ERP) dan
menentukan Alat Pemadam Api Ringan (APAR). Perencanaan ini diharapkan
mampu memenuhi standar yang telah ditetapkan oleh pemerintah seperti UU No.
26 Tahun 2008 dsb. Penelitian ini diawali dengan pencarian data mengenai dimensi
bangunan, fungsi setiap ruangan serta identifikasi fire hazard. Dari dimensi
bangunan dan fungsi gedung kemudian didapatkan estimasi kapasitas gedung. Dari
estimasi kapasitas gedung selanjutnya dihitung kebutuhan pintu darurat, tangga
darurat dan lokasi meeting point. Sementara dari identifikasi fire hazard didapat
APAR yang sesuai dengan masing-masing karakteristik fire hazard. selanjutnya
dari jenis APAR yang digunakan kemudian untuk mengetahui letak pemasangan
APAR yang optimal dan mampu menjangkau seluruh bangunan digunakan metode
set covering. Dalam penelitian ini juga diberikan rute evakuasi dan rekomendasi
pemasangan sprinkler dan smoke detector. ========== Occupational Safety and Health Management System is a proper thing that
should be applied in every work environment both in work method and workplace
environment. Research Centre ITS is one of the newest building in ITS
environment, so there isn’t a safety management system that would be applied in
this building yet. This research aiming to give an Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
and fire extinguisher which is suitable to be used in this building. This research
expected to make building’s safety management meet the requirement from the
government such as UU No. 26 Tahun 2008 etc. this research begin with data
searching about building’s dimension, main function of each room and fire hazard
identification toward each room. From building’s dimension, then capacity of the
building can be calculated. From calculation of building’s capacity, requirements
for the emergency exit, emergency stairs, and meeting point location can be
determined. Then, from fire hazard identification can be determined the type of fire
extinguisher that proper to used. Furthermore using type of fire extinguisher then
the optimum location of fire extinguisher’s installation that can reach every corner
of the building could be determined. In this research also given evacuation route
and some recommendation for sprinkler and smoke detector’s installation.
