Abstract

Emisi gas hasil dari pembakaran incinerator perlu dilakukan pengendalian untuk mencegah terjadinya pencemaran udara. Salah satu alat untuk menurunkan emisi gas tersebut dengan menggunakan venturi vacuum pada sistem three-stage filter wet scrubber. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh dari jumlah venturi vacuum, ukuran media filter, dan tinggi media filter. Media filter yang digunakan pada penelitian yaitu pipa PVC dengan ukuran media filter divariasikan 2 cm, 4 cm, dan 6 cm. Tinggi media filter divariasikan 5 cm, 10 cm, dan 15 cm. Parameter yang diteliti adalah emisi gas NO, CO, dan SO2. Data hasil dari penelitian dilakukan uji statistik dengan menggunakan One-way Anova untuk mengetahui hubungan dari pengaruh variabel dan parameter terhadap efisiensi dari reaktor three-stage filter wet scrubber. Hasil penelitian menggunakan reaktor no venturi vacuum didapatkan nilai efisiensi tertinggi sebesar 58,33% (NO), 28,85% (CO), dan 59,32% (SO2). Pada reaktor single venturi vacuum didapatkan nilai efisiensi tertinggi sebesar 66,67% (NO), 29,69% (CO), dan 66,87% (SO2). Pada reaktor double venturi vacuum didapatkan nilai efisiensi tertinggi sebesar 55% (NO), 20,85% (CO), dan 64% (SO2). Pengaruh reaktor dengan menggunakan single venturi vacuum terhadap efisiensi reaktor wet scrubber mempunyai nilai efisiensi yang paling tinggi.

Control of gas emissions from incinerator combustion needs to be done to prevent air pollution. One of the tools to reduce gas emissions is by using a venturi vacuum in a wet scrubber three-stage filter system. This research was conducted to determine whether there is an influence of the number of venturi vacuum, filter media size, and filter media height. The filter media that used are PVC pipes with filter media sizes varying 2 cm, 4 cm and 6 cm. The height of the filter media varies 5 cm, 10 cm and 15 cm. The parameters studied were NO, CO, and SO2 gas emissions. Result data from the study was carried out statistical tests using One-way Anova to determine the relationship of the influence of variables and parameters on the efficiency of the wet scrubber three-stage filter reactor. The results of the study using a no venturi vacuum reactor obtained the highest efficiency values of 58,33% (NO), 28,85% (CO), and 59,32% (SO2). In the single venturi vacuum reactor, the highest efficiency value was 66,67% (NO), 29,69% (CO), and 66,87% (SO2). In the double venturi vacuum reactor, the highest efficiency values were 55% (NO), 20,85% (CO), and 64% (SO2). The effect of the reactor using a single venturi vacuum on the efficiency of the wet scrubber reactor has the highest efficiency value.
