Abstract
Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, seringkali terjadi peningkatan beban, berubahnya fungsi struktur dan struktur beton yang telah mengalami kerusakan, sehingga mengakibatkan terjadinnya penurunan kapasitas struktur. Oleh karena itu struktur tersebut memerlukan perkuatan untuk mengembalikan atau meningkatkan kapasitasnya. Perkuatan struktur dapat dilakukan dalam beberapa metode. Salah satunya adalah penyelubungan dengan material ringan komposit yaitu Carbon Fiber Reinforce Polymer. CFRP adalah serat karbon yang didefinisikan sebagai serat yang mengandung setidaknya 90% berat karbon. Serat karbon merupakan jenis material yang ringan dan mempunyai kuat tarik yang tinggi. Dalam tesis ini terfokuskan pada pemodelan dan perilaku confinement kolom beton menggunakan Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer yang dibebani dengan beban aksial eksentris. Analisa model menggunakan program Three Dimensional Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis (3D-NLFEA), selanjutnya hasil analisa dibandingkan dengan hasil eksperimental yang tersedia dalam literatur dan dari analisa didapatkan hasil yang cukup baik.

Due to increasing load capacity of old building there for its necessary. Therefore, the structure requires reinforcement to restore or increase its capacity. Structural strengthening can be done in several methods. One of them is confined with a lightweight composite material, named Carbon Fiber Reinforce Polymer. CFRP is carbon fiber that is defined as fiber that contains at least 90% carbon weight. Carbon fiber is a lightweight material with high tensile strength. This tesis focuses on modelling and confinement behavior of concrete columns using Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer that is loaded with eccentric axial loads. Analysis of the model uses the Three Dimensional Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis (3D-NLFEA), then the results of the analysis are compared with the experimental results available in the literature and the results of the analysis are quite close.
