Abstract

Perusahaan plywood pada penelitian ini mampu memproduksi plywood sebanyak 6.000 m3/ tahun, namun selama tahun 2018 dan 2019 perusahaan inihanya mampu memproduksi sebanyak 2.905,14 m3/ tahun dan 1.120,73 m2/tahun. Produksi pada tahun 2018 dan 2019 ini jauh dari kapasitas produksi yang seharusnya bisa dilakukan. Maka pada penelitian akan dilakukan penerapan Lean Manufacturing pada proses produksi perusahaan plywood menggunakan value stream mapping (VSM), value stream analysis tools (VALSAT), process activity mapping (PAM), diagram pareto dan root cause analysis untuk menentukan prioritas pemborosan yang terjadi. Melalui root cause analysis ditemukan kategori ekstrem yang banyak terjadi yaitu pada proses produksi processing dan inventory. Rekomendasi yang diberikan adalah melakukan pengurangan karyawan dan penyediaan tempat penyimpanan yang layak. Hasil rekomendasi perbaikan tersebut diimplementasikan pada future state PAM dan
future VSM, hasil dari pemetaan tersebut didapatkan perubahan lead time sebesar 68% dan proses produksi pun berkurang hingga 248,18 menit.

The plywood company in this study was able to produce 6,000 m3 / year of plywood, but during 2018 and 2019 this company was only able to produce 2,905.14 m3 / year and 1,120.73 m2 / year. Production in 2018 and 2019 is far from the production capacity that should be done. Then the research will be carried out the application of Lean Manufacturing in the production process of plywood companies using value stream mapping (VSM), value stream analysis tools (VALSAT), process activity mapping (PAM), pareto diagrams and root cause analysis to determine the priority of waste that is occur. Through root cause analysis, it is found extreme categories that occur in many processes, namely processing production and inventory. The recommendations given are to cut down employees and provide adequate storage. The results of the recommended improvements were implemented in the future state PAM and future VSM, the results of the mapping obtained a change in lead time of 68% and the production process was reduced to 248.18 minutes.
