Abstract

Belt conveyor pengangkut ampas tebu di Pabrik Gula Tjoekir digunakan untuk memindahkan ampas tebu dari stasiun ketel menuju gudang ampas. Adanya belt conveyor tersebut mempermudah dan mempersingkat waktu pekerjaan. Pabrik Gula Tjoekir merupakan pabrik gula yang sudah tua, peralatan yang ada di sana pun juga sudah sangat lama sehingga performanya sudah menurun. Oleh karena itu, pada tugas akhir ini akan dilakukan perencanaa mengenai belt dan roller idler yang kemudian akan diperoleh daya motor penggerak yang dibutuhkan, serta perhitungan bantalan atau bearing. Langkah awal dalam melakukan penelitian ini adalah melalui tahap studi literatur dan observasi lapangan di Pabrik Gula Tjoekir Jombang. Setelah itu dilakukan pengambilan data dan melakukan perencanaan, dilanjutkan dengan perhitungan sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan. Dari hasil perencanaan dan perhitungan, belt conveyor ini dapat diketahui bahwa daya motor yang diperlukan sebesar 25,2 kW atau sebesar 33,7 hp sehingga digunakan motor lisrik dengan daya 34 hp untuk menggerakkan belt conbeyor. Digunakan belt dengan panjang 81,26 meter dan prediksi umur bearing untuk Belt conveyor selama 274528,2 jam kerja

Conveyor belt sugarcane bagasse transporter at the Tjoekir Sugar Factory is use to move the sugarcane bagasse from the kettle station to the baggage warehouse. The existence of the conveyor belt makes it easier and shortens the work time. The Tjoekir Sugar Factory is an old sugar factory, the equipment in there is also very old so the performance has decreased. Therefore, in this thesis will be planning for the belt and roller ilder. Which will be obtained the driving force needed. And then the bearing calculation the first step doing this research is driving force needed, as well as bearing calculations is through the literature study and field observations at the Tjoekir Jombang Sugar Factory. After that,collection data and planning are carried out, followed by calculations so the conclusionsare obtained. From the results of planning and calculation, this conveyor belt can be seen that the required motor power is 25.2 kW or 33.7 hp so that an electric motor with 34 hp is used to drive the conveyor belt. A belt with a length of 81.26 meters is used and the predicted bearing life for the conveyor belt is 274528,2 working hours
