Abstract

Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) merupakan salah satu bahan
bakar gas yang dapat menjadi harapan baru menjawab
alternative energy di Indonesia, serta untuk mengurangi
penggunaan minyak bumi yang semakin menipis. Selain
sebagai energi alternatif pengganti solar, LNG dapat
menghemat biaya operasional bahan bakar mencapai 20 – 25
%. Pada penyusunan tugas akhir ini akan menganalisa secara
teknis mesin dual fuel hasil konversi pada kapal PELNI.
Data - data yang diperlukan dalam tugas akhir ini meliputi
General Arrangement, Engine Room Layout, Engine
Spesification, SFOC, dll. Terdapat beberapa komponen yang
harus ditambahkan pada modifikasi dual fuel diesel engine,
antara lain : LNG Tank, Heat exchanger, pompa kriogenik
dan converter kit. Terdapat pengurangan space container
dikarenakan peletakan LNG ISO tank pada cargo hold.
Analisa ekonomi dilakukan dengan memvariasikan harga
bahan bakar yaitu HSD subsidi dan HSD non Subsidi, serta
harga LNG 8 USD, 9 USD, 10 USD, 11 USD DAN 12 USD. Kisaran investasi untuk modifikasi dual fuel sebear 16 – 18
Milyar. Hasil yang didapat dari variasi HSD subsidi dan
LNG 8 USD yaitu NPV Rp. 10,428,551,686,58,-, IRR 21.09
% dan payback periode pada tahun ke 4.

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is the one of gas fuel that can be
expected for the alternative energy in Indonesia. And also LNG can
reduce the using of fuel oil that more decreasing. LNG can get 20
- 25 % fuel operational cost saving. This final project will analyze
technically the modification of dual fuel diesel engine on the
passenger ships. The supporting data that required are General
Arrangement, Engine Room Layout, Engine Specification, SFOC,
and etc. the are many components that have to be added for the
modification, such as : LNG Tank, Heat exchanger, Cryogenic
pump, and converter kit. There is some container losses caused by
LNG ISO tank, because the LNG ISO tank located at the cargo
hold. N Economic analysis, fuel oil and gas fuel cost will be varied.
Rp. 5150 and Rp 8724 per liter for HSD cost. 8 USD, 9 USD, 10
USD, 11 USD and 12 USD/mmbtu for LNG cost. Capital cost to
modificate the engine is 16 – 18 Billion. The result based on Rp.
5150 – LNG 8 USD variation are NPV Rp. 10,428,551,686,58,-,
IRR 21.09 % and the invstation get the payback periode in 4 years.
