Abstract
Bawean merupakan salah satu pulau kecil di sebelah utara Gresik yang memiliki
pariwisata yang indah. Banyak wisatawan yang mengetahui keberadaan pulau Bawean,
namun tak banyak yang pernah berkunjung untuk menikmati keindahannya. Hal tersebut
dikarenakan oleh kurangnya promosi yang dilakukan pemerintah. Pemerintah memiliki
pengaruh besar dalam pengembangan dan promosi pulau Bawean. Sehingga dibutuhkan
sebuah media dari pemerintah untuk mempromosikan pulau Bawean tersebut. Media
berupa buku referensi pariwisata berbasis fotografi menjadi solusi desain untuk
mempromosikan pulau Bawean.
Penulis mendapatkan data penelitian dengan melakukan depth interview dengan
Dinas Kebudayaan Pariwisata Kabupaten Gresik sebagai stakeholder, wisatawan, dan
pemandu wisata di Bawean. Selain itu penulis juga menyebarkan kuisoner kepada calon
wisatawan untuk mengetahui minat audiens tentang buku dan wisata. Dengan konsep buku
Visit the Beautiful Landscape, menyuguhkan keindahan wisata pulau Bawean dari balik
layar kamera yang disertai dengan informasi-informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh para
wisatawan ketika berwisata di Bawean.
Perancangan buku referensi wisata pulau Bawean berisi tentang informasi Bawean
secara umum dan informasi perihal pariwisata yang ada di Bawean. Dalam perancangan
buku tersebut, pariwisata di Bawean dibagi menjadi tiga subbab yaitu wisata bahari, wisata
darat, dan wisata budaya. Diharapkan dengan adanya perancangan buku referensi wisata
pulau Bawean dapat membantu pemerintahan dalam pengembangan dan promosi wisata di
pulau Bawean.

Bawean is one of the island in the north of Gresik City which has a wonderful
tourism. Many travelers know about Bawean, but not many who've been to enjoy its
beauty. It is caused by a lack of promotion by the government. Governments have a major
influence in the development and promotion of Bawean Island. And need a media from the
government to promote the Bawean Island. So, reference book based photography is a
solutions to promote Bawean island.
Author get the research data by doing depth interview with the Department of
Culture and Tourism of Gresik City as stakeholders, tourists and tour guides in Bawean.
Moreover, the author also deploy questionnaires to prospective tourists to know about the
audience's interests about travel books. Using ‘visit the beautiful landscape’ concept,
presenting the beauty of Bawean Island from photography with information needed by the
tourists when traveling in Bawean.
The travel book Bawean Island contains Bawean general information and
information about tourism in Bawean. In this book, Bawean is divided into three sections
namely ‘wisata bahari’, ‘wisata darat’, and ‘wisata budaya’. Hopefully, by the design
reference books, can help the government to promote Bawean Island.
