Abstract

Track Quality Index (TQI) is a value or output in the form of a number from the measurement results of a measurement train that can provide information on the quality of the railroad that is traversed on a rail segment. The Track Quality Index (TQI) value is obtained from the sum of 4 measurement parameters, namely width of the rail, profile, alignment and height. The higher TQI value indicates the higher level of railroad damage. Several reports of train accident investigations, especially the derailment events, were influenced by the poor value of TQI. The government has limitations to get the TQI value due to the limited number of measuring trains that are owned as well as the periodic operation of the measuring trains.
To predict the TQI value on the width of the rail 1067 mm, a statistical regression analysis method was used. The variables used are TQI (Y) value, KA traffic frequency (X1) and KA traffic load (X2). To measure the effect of independent variables on binding variables used the t test and F test. The data used include 4 study locations in Java and Sumatra. These four locations have different traffic characteristics in the form of train frequency and traffic load. This difference in characteristics is expected to illustrate variations in data in the form of traffic frequencies, railroad load and TQI values.
Based on the analysis results it is known that the traffic load has a significant effect on the TQI value, while the frequency does not. The form of the equation to predict the parameters of altitude, force, listening and width of the rail line is YPert = 1,00.10-5 X1 + 1,47.10-7 X2 + 3,58; YAng = 2.08.10-5 X1 + 1.62.10-7 X2 + 3.77; YListr = 1,07.10-5 X1 + 1,60.10-7 X2 + 1,75; YLbspr = 1.76.10-5 X1 + 1.36.10-7 X2 + 0.32. The form of the equation to predict the total value of TQI is YTQI= 5,93.10-5 X1 + 6,06.10-7 X2 + 9,43. The magnitude of the frequency and traffic load values in the TQI value categories are 10,230 ka/yr and 11,524,169 tons/yr in categories 1, 17,050 ka/yr and 19,206,948 tons/yr in category 2, 27,280 ka/yr and 30,731,117 tons/yr in category 3 as well as more than 27,280 series of ka/yr and 30,731,117 tons/yr in category 4.
