Abstract

PT. Garam (Persero) merupakan satu-satunya perusahaan BUMN yang bergerak di bidang industri pengolahan dan perdagangan garam. Sesuai dengan visi PT. Garam (Persero) yang ingin menjadi perusahaan industri garam yang berkualitas dunia, saat ini PT. Garam (Persero) telah melakukan ekspansi pasar dengan melakukan ekspor garam ke Penang, Malaysia. Orientasi ekspor ini sangat menguntungkan perusahaan karena dapat meningkatkan volume penjualan perusahaan sehingga orientasi ekspor perlu digencarkan dan diperluas ke berbagai negara lainnya. Dengan adanya perluasan ekspansi pasar maka dapat membuat beban kerja karyawan meningkat, apalagi dengan adanya kondisi target volume produksi perusahaan yang meningkat setiap tahun. Oleh karena itu, keseimbangan beban kerja karyawan perlu diperhatikan terlebih lagi saat musim produksi tiba sehingga karyawan tidak mengalami stres kerja. Stres kerja perlu dihindari agar tidak mengganggu proses kerja karyawan sehingga diharapkan dapat menciptakan kepuasan kerja karyawan. Upaya pemberian reward kepada karyawan juga dilakukan oleh perusahaan sebagai bentuk apresiasi atas tercapainya target volume produksi. Kepemimpinan yang tepat dalam perusahaan memegang peranan penting dalam menciptakan kinerja yang optimal sehingga nantinya akan tercipta kepuasan kerja karyawan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dari workload dan leadership style terhadap job stress dan job satisfaction karyawan PT. Garam (Persero) Sumenep. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner secara online kepada 76 karyawan. Selanjutnya data diolah menggunakan software SPSS dan smartPLS dengan metode Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Ditemukan bahwa workload tidak mempunyai pengaruh terhadap job stress, leadership style berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap job stress, leadership style tidak mempunyai pengaruh terhadap workload, workload tidak mempunyai pengaruh terhadap job satisfaction, leadership style mempunyai pengaruh yang positif signifikan terhadap job satisfaction, serta job stress tidak mempunyai pengaruh terhadap job satisfaction. Terdapat beberapa implikasi manajerial yang dapat dilakukan oleh PT. Garam (Persero) Pegaraman Sumenep I untuk dapat menekan job stress dan meningkatkan job satisfaction.

PT. Garam (Persero) is the only state-owned company engaged in the salt processing and trading industry. In accordance with the vision of PT. Garam (Persero), which wants to become a world-class salt industry company, currently PT. Garam (Persero) expanded the market by exporting salt to Penang, Malaysia. This export orientation is very beneficial for the company because it can increase the company's sales volume, it needs to increase exports, it needs to be intensified and increased to other countries. With the increasing number of markets, it can increase the number of employees which increases, with an increase in production volume which increases every year. Therefore, the workload balance needs to be calculated again when the production season arrives with an increase in workload. Job stress needs to be avoided so as not to switch the work process of employees is expected to make employee job satisfaction. Efforts to provide awards to employees are also carried out by the company as a form of appreciation for the achievement of the target production volume. Appropriate leadership in the company plays an important role in creating the optimal will be needed to create employee job satisfaction. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of workload and leadership style on work stress and job satisfaction of employees of PT. Garam (Persero) Sumenep. Research data collection was carried out by collecting questionnaires to 76 companies. Then the data is processed using SPSS and smartPLS software with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. It was found that workload had no effect on job stress, leadership style had a significant positive effect on job stress, leadership style had no effect on workload, workload had no effect on job satisfaction, leadership style had a significant positive effect on job satisfaction, and job stress had no effect. has an influence on job satisfaction. There are several managerial implications that can be done by PT. Garam (Persero) Pegaraman Sumenep I to reduce job stress and increase job satisfaction.
