Abstract

Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) Domestik Sewon merupakan IPAL Terpusat yang terletak Kecamatan Sewon, Kabupaten Bantul, Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Kapasitas pengolahan IPAL Sewon didesain mencapai 15.500 m3/hari dan jangkauan pelayanan mencapai 25.500 SR dengan menggunakan unit Facultative Aerated Lagoon. Pesatnya pertumbuhan penduduk Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta yang diiringi dengan peningkatan produksi air limbah serta keterbatasan pengolahan menyebabkan perlunya perencanaan pengembangan IPAL Sewon. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik kualitas dan kuantitas kondisi eksisting serta merencanakan pengembangan IPAL Sewon guna meningkatkan kapasitas pengolahan.
Perencanaan pengembangan IPAL Sewon dimulai dari pengambilan data primer dengan uji karakteristik kualitas air limbah IPAL Sewon, lalu proyeksi kuantitas air limbah melalui pendekatan proyeksi penduduk serta pengambilan data sekunder kepada Balai PIALAM selaku pengelola IPAL Sewon. Tugas akhir ini menggunakan dua jenis variabel perencanaan, yaitu aspek teknis dan aspek finansial. Pendekatan aspek teknis dilakukan melalui perhitungan perencanaan pengembangan IPAL Sewon. Sedangkan pendekatan aspek finansial dilakukan dengan memperhitungan Bill of Quantity dan Rencana anggaran biaya (RAB) dalam pembangunan pengembangan IPAL Sewon. Parameter utama air limbah terkait tugas akhir ini meliputi TSS, COD, BOD, amonia, serta Total Coliform sesuai Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan No. 68 Tahun 2016.
Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan IPAL Sewon dapat ditingkatkan kapasitas pengolahannya menjadi 28.761 m3/hari diluar kapasitas eksisting, yakni 15.500 m3/hari dengan menggunakan skema unit baru, yakni sumur pengumpul, grit chambers, bak sedimentasi I, bak anoxic, bak aerasi, bak sedimentasi II, SDB, dan desinfeksi yang menghabiskan anggaran biaya Rp 6.774.000.000,-. Adapun tugas akhir ini dapat menjadi rujukan bagi pihak pengelola IPAL Sewon dalam pengembangan IPAL Sewon mendatang.

Sewon Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is a centralized STP located in Sewon District, Bantul Regency, Special Province of Yogyakarta. The treatment capacity of Sewon STP designed up to 15.500 m3/day and the service range reaches 25.500 SR using Facultative Aerateed Lagoon unit. The rapid population growth of the Yogyakarta Special Region, accompanied by an increase in wastewater production and processing limitations led to the need to plan the improvement of Sewon STP. This final project aims to analyze the quality and quantity characteristics of existing conditions and plan the improvement of Sewon STP to increase capacity.
Planning for the improvement of Sewon STP starts from primary data collection by laboratorium test of wastewater characteristics, then the projected quantity of wastewater through the population projection approach and secondary data collection to Balai PIALAM as the manager of Sewon STP. This final project uses to types of variables, technical aspects and financial aspects. Technical aspects approach through the calculation of improvement planning of Sewon STP. While the financial aspects approach through the calculating the bill of quantity (BOQ) and budget plan for improvement design of Sewon STP. The main parameters of wastewater used in this final project are TSS, COD, BOD, Amonia, and Total Coliform under Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 69 of 2016.
The results obtained show that the Sewon STP treatment capacity can be increased to 28.761 m3/day beyond the existing capacity, 15.500 m3/day by using a new scheme, sump well, grit chambers, sedimentation tanks I, anoxic tank, aeration tank, sedimentation II, SDB, and desinfection which cost Rp 6.774.000.000,-. This final project also can be a reference for management of Sewon STP in improving Sewon STP upcoming years later.
