Abstract

Limbah fly ash yang banyak didapatkan di Indonesia merupakan tipe C. Fly ash tipe C memiliki kadar CaO lebih besar dari 10% yang menyebabkan setting time yang cepat dan nilai workability yang kecil. Konsentrasi NaOH yang rendah (8M) diharapkan mampu mencapai kuat tekan 35 Mpa untuk umur beton 28 hari, penggunaan konsensentrasi NaOH rendah ditujukan untuk mengurangi biaya produksi beton geopolimer. Rasio alkali aktivator Na2SiO3 dan NaOH mempengaruhi workabilitas, kuat tekan, dan mutu beton geopolimer. Penelitian yang berfokus pada pengembangan fly ash tipe C dengan memodifikasi rasio antara Na2SiO3 dan NaOH sebesar 1,5; 2; dan 2,5, lalu dibuat 2 variasi superplasticizer sebesar 2% dan 0% sebagai pembanding. Metode pencampuran menggunakan metode kering dengan sampel silinder berukuran 15x30 cm, umur beton yang dibuat terdiri dari 7. 14. 28, dan 56 hari dengan perawatan benda uji menggunakan metode ambient curing dengan suhu ruang 31±3oC. Untuk mengetahui performa beton geopolimer dilakukan pengujian diantaranya uji slump, kuat tekan, porositas, resistivitas, permeabilitas, dan UPV. Peningkatan rasio alkali aktivator antara Na2SiO3 dan NaOH dengan metode pencampuran kering, dapat menurunkan kualitas beton geopolimer berbasis fly ash tipe C, dimana performa terbaik didapatkan pada rasio 1,5 dengan nilai kuat tekan 9,37 Mpa pada 28 hari, dan mengalami peningkatan pada umur 56 hari sebesar 18,07 MPa, nilai resistvity 1,56 kΩcm, nilai porositas 11,48%, nilai UPV 2776 km/s. Hal ini menunjukan penggunaan konsentrasi NaOH rendah belum memenuhi kuat tekan <35 Mpa untuk umur beton 28 hari, dan mutu beton terdapat banyak ruang kosong dan mudah mengalami korosi. Pada pengujian slump sebagai indikator workabilitas menunjukan bahwa peningkatan rasio alkali aktivator menurunkan nilai workabilitas, nilai workabilitas terkecil berada pada rasio alkali aktivator 2,5 dimana nilai slump mencapai 70 mm, akan tetapi nilai slump beton geopolimer memenuhi standar berlaku, dengan rentang nilai 15-230 mm. Selain itu penambahan sukrosa meningkatkan nilai workabilitas beton geopolimer = The fly ash waste that is commonly found in Indonesia is type C. The low NaOH concentration (8M) is expected to achieve a compressive strength of 35 MPa for a concrete age of 28 days, the use of low NaOH concentrations is intended to reduce the cost of producing geopolymer concrete. The ratio of alkaline activator Na2SiO3 and NaOH affects the workability, compressive strength, and quality of geopolymer concrete. Research that focuses on the development of type C fly ash by modifying the ratio between Na2SiO3 and NaOH by 1.5; 2; and 2,5, then made 2 variations of the superplasticizer, 2% and 0% as a comparison. The mixing method used the dry method with a sample cylinder measuring 15x30 cm, the age of the concrete made consisted of 7. 14. 28, and 56 days with treatment of the specimen using the ambient curing method with a room temperature of 31 ± 3oC. To determine the performance of geopolymer concrete, tests were carried out including slump test, compressive strength, porosity, resistivity, permeability, and UPV. Increasing the ratio of alkaline activator between Na2SiO3 and NaOH with the dry mixing method, can reduce the quality of geopolymer concrete based on fly ash type C, where the best performance is obtained at a ratio of 1.5 with a compressive strength value of 9.37 Mpa at 28 days, and an increase in age 56 days of 18.07 Mpa, the value of resistvity 1.56 kΩcm, the value of porosity 11.48%, the value of UPV 2776 km / s. This shows that the use of low NaOH concentration does not meet the compressive strength <35 Mpa for 28 days of concrete, and the quality of the concrete has a lot of empty space and is prone to corrosion. In the slump test as an indicator of workability, it shows that the increase in the alkaline activator ratio decreases the workability value, the smallest workability value is at the alkaline activator ratio of 2.5 where the slump value reaches 70 mm, but the slump value of geopolymer concrete meets applicable standards, with a value range of 15-230 mm.
