Abstract
Balok baja canai dingin adalah baja yang di bentuk
sedemikian rupa dari sebuah pelat dalam keadaan dingin (dalam
temperature atmosfir) menjadi sebuah bentuk profil. Salah satu
komponen struktur sekunder yang mengguanakan bahan dasar
canai dingin dan sedang di kembangkan adalah balok.
Dalam Tugas Akhir ini membahas tentang perbandingan
balok baja canai dingin profil light channel yang memiliki lubang
pada badan profil dan tidak memiliki lubang. Dari dua balok
tersebut akan dihitung secara teoritis masing-masing kekuatan
lentur, geser dan lendutan yang terjadil. Kemudian dianalisa lebih
detail dengan software finite element analysis.
Dari hasil analisa penampang elemen dengan
menggunakan software finite element analysis didapatkan nilai
tegangan lentur, tegangan geser dan lendutan yang besar pada
penampang balok baja canai dingin yang tidak berlubang
daripada balok baja canai dingin berlubang

Cold formed steel beams are steel in the shape of a
plate in such a way in the cold (the temperature of the
atmosphere) into a profile form. One component of the
secondary structure used cold formed base material and is
being developed to be beam.
In the final project was about comparing cold
formed steel beam light profile channel that has a hole in
the body profile and does not have holes. Of the two beams
will be calculated theoretically each flexural strength, shear
and deflection. Then analyzed in more detail with finite
element analysis software.
From the analysis of cross-sectional elements using
finite element analysis software obtained values of bending
stress, shear stress and large deflection on cold formed steel
beam section is not perforated .
