Abstract

PT. Petrokimia Gresik merupakan salah satu perusahaan BUMN yang memproduksi pupuk dan bahan kimia terbesar di Indonesia. Perusahaan ini memiliki berbagai macam pabrik produksi pupuk dan bahan kimia didalamnya yang salah satunya adalah Pabrik Pupuk NPK Phonska IV. Didalam Pabrik Pupuk NPK Phonska IV terdapat berbagai macam peralatan untuk menunjang pengolahan Pupuk NPK Phonska salah satunya adalah Drag Conveyor. Drag Conveyor adalah alat yang digunakan untuk memindahkan bahan pupuk dari Crusher menuju ke Bucket Elevator untuk dimasukan kedalam Granulator. Pada kasus dilapangan alat ini tidak pernah berhenti beroperasi, apabila alat tersebut berhenti atau terjadi troubleshooting maka proses produksi didalam pabrik akan terganggu. Karena alat ini beroperasi secara terus-menerus sehingga terjadilah keausan pada rantai drag conveyor yang menipis dan mudah terputus. Selain itu banyaknya material pupuk yang tertampung didalam drag conveyor mengakibatkan pupuk meluber kesamping kanan dan kiri yang dapat menghambat pergerakan dari drag conveyor. Untuk menanggulangi hal tersebut maka perlu dilakukannya perawatan secara rutin pada drag conveyor dan perancangan ulang pada desain cross bar drag conveyor sebagai plat penampung pupuk, agar dapat beroperasi secara maksimal.
Metode yang dilakukan agar drag conveyor tidak sering mengalami kerusakan yaitu dengan melakukan metode perawatan berupa preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, dan breakdown maintenance. Selain itu juga mendesain ulang bentuk dari cross bar yang sebaik mungkin agar pupuk tidak meluber kesamping kanan dan kiri cross bar.
Dari hasil penerapan metode perawatan yang telah dilakukan dan redesign bentuk cross bar, maka didapatkan bahwa bahan material pupuk dapat tertampung dan teralirkan dengan baik pada sisi cross bar sehingga tidak lagi meluber kesamping kanan dan kiri dari cross bar yang dapat menghambat jalannya drag conveyor. Selain itu juga dengan dilakukannya preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, dan breakdown maintenance membuat alat ini beroperasi secara maksimal dan jarang terjadi kerusakan.

PT. Petrokimia Gresik is one of the state-owned companies that produces the largest fertilizers and chemicals in Indonesia. This company has various kinds of fertilizer and chemical production plants, one of which is the NPK Phonska IV Fertilizer Factory. Inside the NPK Phonska IV Fertilizer Factory, there are various kinds of equipment to support the processing of NPK Phonska Fertilizer, one of which is the Drag Conveyor. Drag Conveyor is a tool used to move fertilizer material from the Crusher to the Bucket Elevator to be inserted into the Granulator. In the case of the field this tool never stops operating, if the tool stops or troubleshooting occurs, the production process in the factory will be disrupted. Because this tool operates continuously so that wear occurs on the drag conveyor chain which is thin and easily broken. In addition, the amount of fertilizer material that is accommodated in the drag conveyor causes fertilizer to overflow to the right and left which can inhibit the movement of the drag conveyor. To overcome this, it is necessary to carry out routine maintenance on the drag conveyor and redesign the cross bar drag conveyor design as a fertilizer storage plate, so that it can operate optimally.
The method used so that the drag conveyor does not often experience damage is by performing maintenance methods in the form of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and breakdown maintenance. In addition, it also redesigned the shape of the cross bar as well as possible so that fertilizer does not spill over to the right and left of the cross bar.
From the results of applying the treatment methods that have been carried out and redesigning the shape of the cross bar, it is found that the fertilizer materials can be accommodated and flowed well on the side of the cross bar so that it no longer spills over to the right and left of the cross bar which can hinder the drag conveyor. In addition, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and breakdown maintenance make this tool operate optimally and damage rarely occurs.
