Abstract
PT Petrokimia Gresik merupakan anak perusahaan PT Pupuk Indonesia yang menyediakan produk untuk solusi agroindustri. Kegiatan produksi pupuk berlangsung tanpa henti untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pupuk nasional dan untuk keperluan ekspor, sehingga melibatkan berbagai macam peralatan guna mencapai hal tersebut yang salah satunya yaitu conveyor. Peralatan harus terus dijaga ketersediaannya agar kegiatan produksi dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan sesuai target. Dalam menjaga ketersediaan peralatan dilakukan kegiatan perawatan seperti misalnya preventive maintenance dan corrective maintenance yang bertujuan untuk menjaga fungsi dari peralatan dan memaksimalkan kegiatan produksi. Untuk memastikan efektivitas dan efisiensi kegiatan perawatan diperlukan suatu standard operasional prosedur dalam pelaksanannya, sehingga SOP tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan pelaksanaan perawatan. Aktivitas perawatan pada awalnya tidak dianggap sebagai aktivitas yang penting dan perlu di-manage karena hal tersebut berjalan seiring dengan dijalankannya operasi dalam perusahan. Seiring dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, aktivitas manajemen pemeliharaan semakin diprioritaskan karena mempunyai andil besar dalam keberhasilan suatu perusahaan. Seiring dengan usaha demi mengembangkan sektor industri yang kokoh, perlu diciptakannya suatu keseimbangan antara dunia pendidikan dengan dunia industri untuk menghasilkan tenaga terdidik yang memiliki pemahaman, kompetensi, dan keterampilan yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan teknologi dan bidang penerapannya. Perguruan tinggi sebagai bagian dari kalangan akademisi dibina dan dikembangkan guna mempersiapkan mahasiswa menjadi SDM yang memiliki kemampuan akademis dan berkompeten sekaligus tanggap terhadap kebutuhan pembangunan dan pengembangan IPTEK sehingga dapat dijadikan bekal atas pengabdiannya dalam masyarakat. Kegiatan magang industri yang berkaitan dengan industrialisasi sangat diperlukan oleh mahasiswa untuk tidak hanya paham teori saja namun juga mengerti akan kondisi perusahaan yang sesungguhnya dan mampu meningkatkan skill yang ditekuni. Berdasarkan hal diatas dipilih PT Petrokimia Gresik sebagai tempat untuk melaksanakan magang industri. Hal ini dikarenakan PT Petrokimia Gresik memiliki berbagai disiplin ilmu terutama dibidang manajemen perawatan serta terdapatnya sistem conveyor yang digunakan sebagai salah satu peralatan distribusi.

PT Petrokimia Gresik is a subsidiary of PT Pupuk Indonesia which provides products for agro-industrial solutions. Production activities take place non-stop to meet national fertilizer needs and for export purposes, thus involving various kinds of equipment to achieve this, one of which is a conveyor. The availability of equipment must be maintained so that production activities can run smoothly and on target. In maintaining the availability of equipment, maintenance activities such as preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance are carried out which aim to maintain the function of the equipment and maximize production activities. To ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance, a standard operating procedure is needed in its implementation, so that the SOP can be used as the implementation. Maintenance activities because initially they were not considered as important activities and needed to be managed, they went hand in hand with the operations in the company. Along with the development of science, maintenance management is increasingly prioritized because it has a big role in the success of a company. Along with efforts to develop a strong industrial sector, it is necessary to create a balance between the world of education and the world of industry to produce educated personnel who have the understanding, competence, and skills related to technology development and its field of application. Universities as part of the academic community are fostered and developed to prepare students to become human resources who have academic abilities and are competent as well as responsive to the needs and development of science and technology so that they can be used as provisions for their service in society. Industrial internships related to industrialization are needed by students not only to understand theory, but also to understand the real conditions of the company and be able to improve the skills they are engaged in. Based on the things that PT Petrokimia Gresik chose as a place to carry out industrial internships. This is because PT Petrokimia Gresik has various disciplines, especially in the field of management and the presence of a conveyor system that is used as one of the distribution equipment.
