Abstract
Sampah masih menjadi masalah klasik di Indonesia. Banyaknya jumlah penduduk di indonesia dengan segala aktivitasnya, menjadi faktor yang menyebabkan naiknya potensi sampah yang dihasilkan. Selain itu juga sistem pengelolaan sampah yang dilakukan masih bersifat manual, yaitu dengan melakukan pemeriksaan tempat penampungan sampah satu persatu oleh petugas kebersihan.
Oleh karena itu, pada tugas akhir ini telah dirancang tempat sampah pintar berbasis Internet of Things yang dapat memudahkan pekerjaan petugas kebersihan dalam melakukan pemeriksaan tempat penampungan sampah secara online dengan menggunakan aplikasi Blynk yang telah terinstall di smartphone.
Dari hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan Tempat Sampah Pintar dapat mengukur volume tempat sampah dan mendeteksi bau sampah. Kemudian dapat membuka tempat sampah secara otomatis ketika mendeteksi objek pada jarak ≤ 30cm. Sebaliknya jika tidak mendeteksi objek pada jarak ≤ 30cm, tempat sampah dapat menutup secara otomatis. Selanjutnya petugas kebersihan dapat memonitoring status tempat sampah walaupun terdapat latency 1-3 detik dengan data asli pembacaan sensor beserta lokasinya secara online. Selain itu, petugas kebersihan juga dapat menerima notifikasi dan laporan status tempat sampah.

Garbage is still a classic problem in Indonesia. The large number of people in Indonesia with all their activities, is a factor that causes an increase in the potential for waste generated. In addition, the waste management system that is carried out is still manual, namely by checking each other's garbage collections by cleaning staff.
Therefore, in this final project, a smart trash can based on the Internet of Things has been designed that can make it easier for cleaners to check the garbage collection online using the Blynk application that has been installed on a smartphone.
From the results of the tests that have been carried out, the Smart Trash bin measure the volume of the trash bin and detect the smell of garbage. Then it can open the trash can automatically when it detects an object at a distance of 30cm. On the other hand, if it doesn't detect an object at a distance of 30cm, the trash can closest automatically. Furthermore, the janitor can monitor the status of the trash bin even though there is a latency of 1-3 seconds with the original sensor reading data and its location online. In addition, the cleaning staff can also receive notifications and reports on the status of the trash bin.
