Abstract

Kelapa Sawit merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan hasil perkebunan yang sangat berperan penting dalam kemajuan perekonomian di Indonesia dikarenakan kandungan minyak nabatinya yang banyak dibutuhkan di sektor industri. Pasar potensial dalam pengolahan minyak sawit ini adalah industri fraksinasi / rafinasi (terutama industri minyak goreng), lemak khusus (cocoa butter substitute), margarin / shortening, oleochemical, dan sabun mandi. Di industri pangan, kehadiran minyak goreng menjadi penting. Hal ini dikarenakan berbagai olahan pangan tidak lepas dari peran lemak dalam minyak goreng dalam menambah cita rasa serta tekstur dan aroma pada makanan. Minyak goreng telah dikenal lama oleh masyarakat sebagai bahan makanan yang kurang baik bagi kesehatan dan cenderung dihindari sehingga sangat dibutuhkan inovasi dari produksi minyak goreng yang bukan hanya ekonomis namun juga memiliki dampak positif bagi kesehatan. Dari situlah kemudian dibangun Pabrik Minyak Goreng Sawit dengan metode MAE - BSE dikarenakan proses yang ramah lingkungan dengan kondisi operasi yang tidak terlalu ekstrem serta kualitas minyak yang dihasilkan lebih sehat yang lebih kaya akan PUFA.
Pabrik Minyak Goreng Sawit ini dibangun dengan kapasitas 48.000 Ton di Kawasan Industri Sei Mengkei yang terletak di Sei Mengkei, Bosar Maligas, Kabupaten Simalungun, Sumatera Utara yang dilengkapi fasilitas dan pusat penelitian khusus kelapa sawit dengan nilai investasi sebesar Rp 412.626.586.403. Dari hasil analisa ekonomi dengan memperhatikan neraca massa, neraca energi yang kemudian di implementasikan pada spesifikasi alat didapatkan Internal Rate of Return (IRR) 19,05%, Net Present Value (NPV) Rp 179.670.421.590, Payout Time (POT) 3,7 tahun, dan Break Even Point (BEP) 13%. Dari analisa tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Pabrik Minyak Goreng Sawit dengan metode MAE - BSE layak untuk didirikan.

Palm oil is one of the leading commodities of plantation products that plays an important role in economic progress in Indonesia because of its vegetable oil content that is needed in the industrial sector. Potential markets in this palm oil processing are fractionation/refined industries (especially the cooking oil industry), special fats (cocoa butter substitute), margarine/shortening, oleochemicals, and bath soaps. In the food industry, the presence of cooking oil becomes important. This is because various processed foods can not be separated from the role of fat in cooking oil in adding flavor and texture and aroma to food. Cooking oil has long been known by the public as a food ingredient that is not good for health and tends to be avoided so that innovation is needed from the production of cooking oil that is not only economical but also has a positive impact on health. From there then built Palm Cooking Oil Factory with MAE - BSE method due to environmentally friendly process with less extreme operating conditions and heathier oil quality produced which is richer in PUFA.
This Palm Cooking Oil Factory was built with a capacity of 48,000 tons in Sei Mengkei Industrial Estate located in Sei Mengkei, Bosar Maligas, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra equipped with facilities and a special palm oil research center with an investment value of Rp 412,626,586,403. From the results of economic analysis with regard to the mass balance, the energy balance which is then implemented in the tool specification is obtained Internal Rate of Return (IRR) 19.05%, Net Present Value (NPV) Rp 179,670,421,590, Payout Time (POT) 3.7 years, and Break Even Point (BEP) 13%. From the analysis shows that the Palm Cooking Oil Factory with MAE-BSE method is feasible to established.
