Abstract

Technological developments using virtual reality (VR) are
increasingly advanced, allowing a person to carry out activities that cannot be done or are not possible in the real world. In current developments, there are several uses of this VR technology that have been developed for various types of activities.

In this final project, a virtual simulation of waste treatment technology practicum with anaerobic processes on organic materials is made, which is made in a VR environment. This simulation is made to make it easier to do practicum without having to be in the laboratory. This virtual simulation was created and intended for students of the Industrial Chemical Engineering Department, especially students of the ITS Industrial Chemical
Engineering Department.

The final project was built using Unity version 2019.4.21f
LTS which uses the C# programming language and with the help of the Unity WebXR Exporter plugin to export and build applications into WebXR so that it can be easily accessed through browsers, especially the Oculus Browser.

This final project was made based on practical material on
waste treatment technology with an anaerobic process. With
functional testing and direct user testing. The results of the implementation of the VR simulation of waste treatment
technology practicum with anaerobic processes on organic matter can be concluded to make it easier for users to carry out the practicum.
