Abstract

PT XYZ is a State-Owned Enterprise which is engaged in information and communication technology (ICT) services and also telecommunications networks in Indonesia. To achieve the company's target, PT XYZ is assisted by workers, both permanent workers and outsourced workers. So far, PT XYZ does not yet have a standard method to analyze the needs of its workforce. Workload analysis is important for companies to do to reduce some of the negative impacts that can occur such as wasted recruitment costs, quality risks, and also the risks to the physical and mental health of workers. This research was conducted focusing on the broadcast operation division of PT XYZ which has a large number of workers, namely as many as 65 people. The method that will be used in this research is the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) method. After measuring the workload, it was found that most of the workers in the broadcast operation division had an overloaded workload, which was 75% of the workers. 75% of workers with this overload work equal to 48 workers with various positions in the broadcast operation division. 17% of workers have an underload or equal to 11 people. Workers with a normal workload in the broadcast operation division are only 8% of workers or equal to 5 people. PT XYZ can use the results of this study as input for distributing workloads to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and also manpower productivity.
