Abstract

RESTAURANT - GUEST HOUSE DESIGN IN YOGYAKARTA The building is designed using brutalism style which is applied to the exposed wall material, columns. as well as ceilings. Brutalism presents the impression of a simple building while saving on finishing and maintenance costs. The amount of limestone material around the land makes the opportunity for high utilization of this material. In form, this building uses simple geometry combined with voids in the form of a large garden surrounded by balconies. The garden in the middle of the building makes this building oriented to the coolness and shade of the trees so that the thermal temperature is maintained comfortably. [2] CAFE DESIGN DEVELOPMENT WITH MODERN JOGLO CONCEPT IN SURABAYA | The building was designed with the main concept of Joglo as Archipelago Architecture which was then carried out experiments in the form of a combination with steel elements as a supporting structure on the second floor. Archipelago architecture becomes essential with exploration on the construction side, of course wrapped with rhythmic ornaments. The main structure of the Soko Guru (Wood Main Column) which is larger than usual, that is 40x40cm (usually 25x25cm - 30x30cm) has inspired Architects to build a Joglo that is taller and more functional. This idea requires a concentration of supervision and accuracy so that the building can later become a new model for the Joglo construction system.
