Abstract
Pengarusutamaan gender dan anak menjadi prioritas pembangunan Kabupaten Blitar. Meski demikian wanita masih menerima banyak diskriminasi peran.

Mainstreaming gender and children are a development priority for Blitar Regency. However, women still receive a lot of role discrimination. The three main issues facing women in Indonesia are the gender pay gap, violence against women, and low levels of self-confidence. Unfortunately, these three issues are often faced together by women, especially those from the lower middle class whose lives depend on their husband's income, even though they are trapped in an abusive environment. In Blitar Regency, the issue of child marriage and the high number of migrant workers accompany the three main problems.
Women also often receive indirect discrimination from the design of the surrounding urban environment. Narrow alleys and unattended vacant land create fear in women to move in public facilities.
A safe, comfortable, and inclusive environment for women can be created through architecture through a gender sensitive approach and considering security aspects, human presence, and locality. Architecture contributes to the empowerment of women with the function of the design as a Public Service and Job Training Centre.
