Abstract

Dalam urutan proses pembangunan perangkat lunak (SDLC), pengujian perangkat lunak adalah tahap ke-4 yang akan dilakukan setelah proses implementasi. Sekitar 70% dari tahap pengembangan perangkat lunak akan dihabiskan dengan pengujian perangkat lunak. Pengujian perangkat lunak sendiri adalah proses menjalankan aplikasi dengan maksud mencari kesalahan sebelum aplikasi digunakan pengguna.

Proses pengujian perangkat lunak juga berlaku dalam pengembangan aplikasi permaianan. Hal ini juga yang diterapkan di PT. Agate International. PT. Agate International sendiri merupakan perusahaan game developer yang berada di Bandung. Agate didirikan pada tahun 2009 di Bandung, Indonesia. Agate sudah bertumbuh hingga pada akhirnya dapat menjadi game developer terbesar di Indonesia.

Maka dari itu pada kesempatan Kerja Praktik ini, penulis bergabung di dalam tim Quality Assurance PT. Agate International untuk bertanggung jawab dalam penjaminan mutu perangkat lunak dan pengujian aplikasi dalam project Nurturing Game. Pengujian yang dilakukan penulis melewati beberapa langkah yaitu pendalaman dokumentasi aplikasi (GDD), pendalaman dokumentasi pengujian, pembuatan test case dan test scenario, regression testing, compatibility testing, exploratory testing, bug report, bug verify dan terkahir pembuatan dokumentasi manual book.

In Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), software testing is the fourth steps that software testing is the 4th stage that will be carried out after the implementation process. Approximately 70% of the software development stage will be spent on software testing. Software testing itself is the process of running an application with the intention of finding errors before the application is used by the user.

The software testing process also applies to game development. This is also applied at PT. Agate International. PT. Agate International itself is a game developer company based in Bandung. Agate was founded in 2009 in Bandung, Indonesia. Agate has grown to become the biggest game developer in Indonesia.

Therefore, on this internship opportunity, the author joins the Quality Assurance team of PT. Agate International which is responsible for software quality assurance and application testing in the Nurturing Game project. The tests carried out by the author went through several steps, namely deepening of application documentation (GDD), deepening of test documentation, making test cases and test scenarios, regression testing, compatibility testing, exploratory testing, bug reports, bug verifying and finally making manual book documentation.
