Abstract

Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM ) merupakan salah satu sektor ekonomi yang sangat diperhitungkan di Indonesia karena kontribusinya yang sangat besar bagi perkonomian negara. Namun dibali kesuksesan UKM ini, terdapat masalah/hambatan yang dihadapi oleh UKM sehingga membuat usaha- usaha tersebut masih belum bisa berkembang secara maksimal. Salah satu kelemahan dari UKM adalah terbatasnya kapabilitas dan agresifitas dari pemilik maupun pekerja UKM dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi untuk mendukung kegiatan bisnis mereka, terutama dalam hal penggunaan internet . Melalui intenet, UKM seharusnya dapat meningkatkan transformasi bisnis melalui kecepatan, ketepatan, dan efisiensi pertukaran informasi dalam skala besar. Hal inilah yang mendorong penulis melakukan penelitian mengenai penggunaan internet di UKM. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan penyebaran kuisioner, pengolahan statistik deskriptif, serta melakukan pengujian mengenai pengaruh motivation, competitive, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, self efficacy, dan computer/intemet anxiety terhadap penggunaan internet di UKM, serta pengaruh penggunaan internet di UKM terhadap peningkatan kinerja UKM menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) . Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel motivation from CEO memiliki pengaruh positif sebesar 0,62 dan signifikan terhadap penggunaan internet di UKM. Variabel competitive memiliki pengaruh positif sebesar 0,72 dan signifikan terhadap penggunaan internet di UKM. Variabel perceived usefulness memiliki pengaruh positif sebesar 0,21 dan signifikan terhadap penggunaan internet di UKM. Variabel perceived ease of use tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap penggunaan internet di UKM. Variabel self efficacy memiliki pengaruh positif sebesar 0,26 dan signifikan terhadap penggunaan internet di UKM. Variabel computer/internet anxiety memiliki pengaruh negatif sebesar - 0,6 dan signifikan terhadap penggunaan internet di UKM. Variabel penggunaan internet di UKM memiliki pengaruh positif sebesar 0,78 terhadap peningkatan kinerja UKM.

Small medium enterprise is one sector of economy that plays important role in Indonesia since it has great contribution in national income. In spite of this economic success fact, there lots constraint that SME need to be faced with the result that make them have not been able to develop in optimal condition. Some weakness in SME company practice is there are several capability limitation and owner or worker that less aggressive in using information technology which might support their business activity, especially in internet adoption. Increasing internet utilization becomes essential key factor to make SME company more competitive in global market. Internet may transform their business process from its speed\ accuracy, and efficiency through mass scale information sharing. Research methodology consist of questioner distribution, statistic descriptive processing, and influence testing of motivation, competitive, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, self-efficacy, and computer/internet anxiety with internet utilization in SME company, as well as internet utilization impact with SME company performance improvement using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) method. As result, it is known that motivation from CEO has positive influences 0.62 point and significant with internet adoption in SME company. Competitive variable has 0.72 point and significant with internet adoption, in SME Company. Perceived usefulnesshas positive influence 0.21 point and significant with internet adoption in SME Company. Perceived ease of use has no influence with internet adoption in SME Company. Self efficacy has positive influences 0.26 point and significant with internet adoption in SME Company. Computer/internet anxiety has negative influences -0.6 point and significant with internet adoption, in SME Company. Internet adoption has positive influences 0.72 point and significant influence SME's performance improvement.
