Abstract

The Indonesian government has been trying to boost MSME productivity through the Digital Technology Adoption 4.0 Program during the current recovery period, but SME productivity is still hampered. One of the SMEs experiencing this condition is the Ngingas Metal SMEs. Thus, it is necessary to identify and analyze the company's ability to deal with changes in technological innovation or technological innovation capabilities (TIC). In addition, environmental competitiveness can be a consideration for determining the innovation strategy that will be chosen by the company. This study aims to provide an innovation strategy for Metal Ngingas IKM through identification and analysis of the moderating effect of environmental competitiveness on the relationship of technological innovation capabilities to business performance in Metal Ngingas IKM. The research has a total sample of 122 respondents. The analysis method uses PLS-SEM with the help of Smart PLS 3.0 software. The results of the study show that strategic planning capability has a significant positive effect on business performance. That is, when MSMEs implement good strategic planning capability, they can improve business performance. Environmental competitiveness in this study does not have a moderating effect on the relationship between technological innovation capabilities and business performance
