Abstract

Perusahaan A merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang financial technology yang menerapkan Scrum sebagai metode dalam pengembangan produknya. Pada perusahaan A terdapat Scrum Master yang memiliki tanggung jawab dalam melakukan perbaikan proses. Namun dalam melakukan tanggung jawabnya, Scrum Master perlu mengetahui tim mana saja yang prosesnya perlu diperbaiki agar tim dapat bekerja secara efektif. Saat ini perusahaan A masih menggunakan velocity chart dalam mengukur tingkat keefektifan tim. Namun penggunaan velocity chart masih tidak dapat menggambarkan tingkat responsif tim, otonomi tim, harapan pengguna terhadap produk yang dikembangkan serta dukungan dari manajemen terhadap tim. Maka dari itu perlu adanya penerapan alat pengukuran lain yang dapat mengukur tingkat keefektifan tim di Perusahaan A.
Pada penelitian ini penerapan Evidence-Based Management (EBM) akan dilakukan pada Perushaan A untuk menggantikan velocity chart. EBM merupakan pendekatan yang empiris untuk membantu perusahaan dalam meningkatkan hasil melalui solusi yang adaptif. Dalam penerapan EBM, tahap yang dilakukan adalah melakukan focus group discussion untuk mengetahui komponen EBM yang akan digunakan sebagai metrik di Perusahaan A. Selanjutnya akan dilakukan pengumpulan data dengan metode focus group discussion juga kepada tiga tim Scrum (FC, ARR, REV) melalui acara restrospective oleh Scrum Master selama delapan sprint untuk mendapatkan data primer. Selain itu juga dilakukan query pada metabase Perusahaan A untuk mendapatkan data skunder. Data primer dan skunder yang didapat akan diolah agar dapat digunakan kedalam EBM. Tahap terakhir adalah melakukan analisis data dengan cara melakukan perangkingan dan pembobotan menggunakan metode Rangk Order Centroid untuk mengetahui tingkat keefektifan tiga tim Scrum selama delapan sprint.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil bahwasannya metrik EBM yang diterapkan pada perushaan A dikategorikan kedalam tiga kategori yakni metrik yang dapat diterapkan, metrik yang mungkin dapat diterapkan, dan metrik yang tidak dapat diterapkan. Sedangkan hasil analisis terkait tingkat keefektifan tim berdasarkan metrik EBM yang dapat diterapkan pada Perusahaan A didapatkan hasil bahwa tim REV memiliki peringkat tertinggi terkait keefektifan tim dengan nilai 5,61. Selanjutnya tim FC memiliki tingkat keefektifan tertinggi kedua dengan nilai 4,5 dan nilai terendah ialah tim ARR dengan nilai 2,95.

Company A is a company engaged in the field of financial technology that applies Scrum as a method in product development. At company A there is a Scrum Master who has responsibility for making process improvements. However, in carrying out their responsibilities, the Scrum Master needs to know which team's processes need to be improved so that the team can work effectively. Currently, company A still uses a velocity chart to measure the effectiveness of the team. However, the use of velocity charts still cannot describe the level of team responsiveness, team autonomy, user expectations of the product being developed and support from management. Therefore it is necessary to apply other measurement tools that can measure the level of team effectiveness in Company A.
In this study the application of Evidence-Based Management (EBM) will be carried out at Company A to replace the velocity chart. EBM is an empirical approach to help companies improve results through adaptive solutions. In implementing EBM, the step taken is to conduct focus group discussions to find out the EBM components that will be used as metrics in Company A. Next, data collection will be carried out using the focus group discussion method with the three Scrum teams (FC, ARR, REV) through a retrospective event by the Scrum Master for eight sprints to get the primary data. In addition, a query was also performed on Company A's metabase to obtain secondary data. The primary and secondary data obtained will be processed so that they can be used into EBM. The final stage is to perform data analysis by ranking and weighting using the Ranking Order Centroid method to determine the level of effectiveness of the three Scrum teams during the eight sprints.
Based on the research results, it was found that the EBM metrics applied to company A were categorized into three categories, namely metrics that could be applied, metrics that might be applied, and metrics that could not be applied. While the results of the analysis regarding the level of team effectiveness based on EBM metrics that can be applied to Company A show that the REV team has the highest rating regarding team effectiveness with a value of 5.61. Furthermore, the FC team has the second highest level of effectiveness with a value of 4.5 and the lowest score is the ARR team with a value of 2.95.
