Abstract
Sepatu safety adalah salah satu hal penting dalam lingkungan industri pekerjaan berat untuk mencegah pekerja dari cedera yang disebabkan oleh bahaya terkait pekerjaan. Di sebagian besar perusahaan, sepatu diberikan kepada para pekerja berdasarkan jenis pekerjaan dan lingkungan kerja para pekerja. Karena standar yang digunakan tergolong umum untuk kesehatan kaki, maka masalah muncul ketika pekerja itu masuk dalam kategori lanjut usia (lansia) awal. Sepatu safety umumnya berbobot berat, yang merupakan masalah bagi seseorang yang bekerja dengan banyak aktivitas tekanan pada lutut seperti berlutut, merunduk, memanjat, dan terlebih memiliki masalah terkait lutut; dalam hal ini, pekerja
tambang minyak adalah subjek utama untuk studi kegiatan tersebut. Sebagian besar lansia awal menderita degenerasi sendi di mana lutut mereka kehilangan beberapa kemampuan seperti fleksibilitas dan kapasitas beban. Konstruksi sepatu safety konvensional yang cenderung berat dapat mempengaruhi fleksibilitas penggunaan sehari-hari dan jangka panjangnya. Dengan sepatu keselamatan umum, beberapa pekerja lansia awal beresiko menderita cedera sendi lutut ringan hingga parah.

Safety shoes are one of the essentials in heavy duty industrial works environment to prevent the workers from injuries caused by work-related danger. In most companies, the shoes were given to the workers based on the work types and the workers environment. Because of the generalized standard for the feet health, then a problem comes when the worker is an early adult. Safety shoes are commonly heavy in weight, which is a problem for someone who works with lot of knee stress activities such as kneeling, ducking, climbing and especially has a knee-related problem; in this case, oilfield workers are the main subject for those activities study.
Most of the early adult are suffering from joint degeneration where their knees may loss some of their abilities such as flexibility and load capacity. The construction of the common safety shoes may affect the weight and flexibility on their daily andlong-term usages. With common safety shoes, early-elder workers have risk to suffer from mild to severe knee joint injuries.
