Abstract
Program Kampus Merdeka belum menjadi hal yang wajib dilakukan di ITS. Namun, ITS mewajibkan mahasiswa untuk melakukan Kerja Praktik (KP). Kerja Praktik menjadi mata kuliah wajib yang harus dilakukan setiap mahasiswa di ITS, termasuk Departemen Teknik Sipil. Kerja Praktik diharapkan mampu menambah pengetahuan serta kemampuan mahasiswa tentang pekerjaan di bidang Teknik Sipil sekaligus dapat mengaplikasikannya secara langsung. Untuk mahasiswa S1, kegiatan Kerja Praktik dilakukan setidaknya selama dua bulan atau 200 jam kerja. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, penulis melakukan Kerja Praktik di Proyek Pembangunan East Coast Center II Phase 2, Surabaya. Tempat ini dipilih karena merupakan proyek pembangunan mal dan apartemen yang termasuk dalam klasifikasi high rise tower dengan tingkat kompleksitas tinggi. Proyek East Coast Center II Phase 2 berlokasi pada Jalan Kejawan Putih Mutiara Tengah Nomor 17, Pakuwon, Kejawan Putih Tambak, Mulyorejo, Surabaya. Proyek ini dibangun oleh PT Mitralanggeng Jaya Konstruksi sebagai kontraktor pelaksana. Proyek East Coast Center II Phase 2 meliputi pembangunan mal, apartemen, dan hotel yang terdiri dari 13 lantai podium, 31 lantai tower 2, dan 27 lantai tower 3 dengan luas area sebesar 181.19 meter persegi. Pembangunan proyek ini berlangsung selama 28 bulan. Hal yang dilakukan pada saat Kerja Praktik adalah kegiatan survey elemen struktur, mapping komponen arsitektural, pengecekan shop drawing, quality control di lapangan, dan perhitungan kekuatan bekisting kolom.

The “Kampus Merdeka” Program has not become a mandatory thing to do at ITS. However, ITS requires students to do Internship (KP). Internship is a compulsory subject that must be taken by every student at ITS, including the Department of Civil Engineering. By carrying out the Internship, students are expected to increase their knowledge and abilities as civil engineers and can apply them in the field. For undergraduate students, Internships are carried out for at least two months or 200 working hours. Based on this background, the author conducted Internship at the East Coast Center II Phase 2 Project, Surabaya. This project is a building construction used for mall and apartment that included in the classification of high-rise towers with a high level of complexity. The East Coast Center II Phase 2 project located at Kejawan Putih Mutiara Tengah Street Number 17, Pakuwon, Kejawan Putih Tambak, Mulyorejo, Surabaya. This project built by PT Mitralanggeng Jaya Konstruksi as the contractor. The East Coast Center II Phase 2 project includes the construction of malls, apartments and hotels consisting of 13 podium floors, 31 2nd tower floors and 27 3rd tower floors with an area of 181.19 square meters. The construction of this project lasted 28 months. Things carried out during the Internship are structural element survey activities, architectural component mapping, shop drawing checks, quality control in the field, and calculating the strength of column formwork.
