Abstract

Seorang arsitek wajib mengetahui dan menguasai Standar Kompetensi Arsitek untuk bisa diakui sebagai arsitek profesional. Standar Kompetensi Arsitek merupakan acuan dalam menilai kemampuan seorang arsitek dalam menjalankan keahliannya. Standar ini dimaksudkan untuk merumuskan kemampuan yang harus dimiliki seorang arsitek untuk melakukan suatu tugas atau pekerjaan yang didasari atas pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap kerja sesuai dengan unjuk kerja yang disyaratkan (IAI, 2007). Terdapat 13 kompetensi yang wajib dikuasai oleh arsitek antara lain (1) Perancangan Arsitektur; (2) Pengetahuan Arsitektur; (3) Pengetahuan Seni; (4) Perencanaan dan Perancangan Kota; (5) Hubungan antara Manusia, Bangunan, dan Lingkungan; (6) Pengetahuan Daya Dukung Lingkungan; (7) Peran Arsitek di Masyarakat; (8) Persiapan Pekerjaan Perancangan; (9) Pengertian Masalah Antar-disiplin; (10) Pengetahuan Fisik dan Fisika Bangunan; (11) Penerapan Batasan Anggaran dan Peraturan Bangunan; (12) Pengetahuan Industri Konstruksi dalam Perencanaan; dan (13) Pengetahuan Manajemen Proyek. Proyek Kantor Pengacara dan Konsultan Hukum di Kota Denpasar dan Proyek Gedung Kelas Rawat Inap Standar (KRIS) RSUD Kabupaten Kediri ini kemudian akan dianalisa menggunakan ke-13 kompetensi tersebut. Analisa tersebut bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana penerapan standar kompetensi arsitek dengan proyek yang telah dikerjakan, sehingga akan didapat korelasi antara proyek yang telah dikerjakan dengan standar kompetensi arsitek yang disyaratkan.

An architect must know and master the Architect Competency Standards in order to be recognized as a professional architect. Architect Competency Standards are a reference in assessing the ability of an architect to carry out his expertise. This standard is intended to formulate the capabilities that an architect must have to carry out a task or job that embodies knowledge, skills, and work attitudes in accordance with the required performance (IAI, 2007). There are 13 competencies that must be mastered by an architect, such as (1) Architectural Design; (2) Architectural Knowledge; (3) Art Knowledge; (4) Urban Planning and Design; (5) Relations between Humans, Buildings, and the Environment; (6) Knowledge of Environmental Carrying Capacity; (7) The Role of Architects in Society; (8) Design Preparation; (9) Definition of Interdisciplinary Problems; (10) Building Physics and Physical Knowledge; (11) Application of Budget Limits and Building Regulations; (12) Construction Industry Knowledge in Planning; and (13) Project Management Knowledge. Lawyer And Legal Consultant Office Design in Denpasar City and Standard Inpatient Class Building (KRIS) Design at Kediri Regional General Hospital will be analyzed using the 13 competencies. The analysis aims to see how the implementation of architect competency standards is related to the projects that have been undertaken, so that a correlation will be obtained between the projects that have been carried out and the required architect competency standards.
