Abstract

Penambahan koagulan pada proses koagulasi yang ada di Water Treatment Plant (WTP) memerlukan dosis yang tepat untuk menghasilkan efisiensi koagulasi yang tinggi secara konsisten. Sistem dosing koagulan pada sebagian besar WTP masih mengadopsi metode kontrol manual berdasarkan proporsi aliran air yang tetap, akibatnya takaran koagulan tidak bisa diatur sesuai dengan perubahan kualitas air baku dan aliran air yang fluktuatif. Hal ini menyebabkan fluktuasi kekeruhan di tangki sedimentasi. Pada sebagian besar Instalasi Pengolahan Air Minum (IPAM) di Indonesia, dosing koagulan dilakukan secara manual dan user tidak dapat mengetahui jumlah dosing koagulan yang telah ditambahkan. Dalam Tugas Akhir ini dirancang sistem kendali dosing pump dengan metode kontrol on off untuk mengatur dosis koagulan yang adaptif sesuai dengan kondisi air. Proses dosing koagulan ditampilkan pada sebuah Graphic User Interface (GUI) pada monitor yang terhubung ke Single Board Computer (SBC). Sebagai hasilnya, sistem monitoring dosing koagulan menggunakan flow sensor mampu mengetahui jumlah dosing koagulan yang telah ditambahkan ke dalam proses koagulasi secara real time. Sistem monitoring memiliki nilai akurasi sebesar 98.05 %. Sistem pengendalian dosing pump koagulan dengan metode kontrol on off mampu memastikan jumlah dosing koagulan sesuai dengan kondisi air baku yang di proses menggunakan dosing pump dengan akurasi sebesar 98.5%.

The addition of coagulants to the coagulation process in the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) requires the correct dosage to produce consistently high coagulation efficiency. Most of coagulant dosing system in the WTP, still adopts manual control methods based on a fixed proportion of water flow, as a result the coagulant dose cannot be adjusted according to changes in the fluctuations of raw water quality and water flow. It causes turbidity fluctuations in the sedimentation tank. While the coagulant dosing process in most Drinking Water Treatment Installations (IPAM) in Indonesia is done manually and the user cannot know the amount of coagulant dosage has been added. In this Final Project a dosing pump control system is designed with an on off control method to adjust the coagulant dose adaptively according to water conditions and the it displayed on a Graphic User Interface (GUI) on the monitor connected to the SBC (Single Board Computer). As a result, a coagulant dosing monitoring system using a flow sensor is able to measure the amount of coagulant dosing that has been added to the coagulation process in real time. The accuracy value of monitoring system is 98.05%. The coagulant pump dosing control system uses the on-off control method able to adjust the amount of coagulant dosing is in accordance with the raw water conditions that are processed using a dosing pump with an accuracy of 98.50%.
