Abstract

Gereja GSJS Pakuwon Mall merupakan salah satu fasilitas publik yang digunakan untuk peribadahan umat kristiani di Surabaya. Dengan adanya dasar negara pada UUD 1945 bahwa setiap warga negara Indonesia berhak mendapatkan hak untuk beribadah tanpa adanya batasan apapun. Oleh karena itu, fasilitas ibadah tidak hanya untuk umat yang terlahir dengan fisik dan mental yang normal, akan tetapi juga untuk umat yang berkebutuhan khusus. Tidak banyak gereja yang peduli akan pemberian fasilitas bagi umat berkebutuhan khusus. Banyak dari mereka yaitu pengguna kursi roda dan anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus yang terlahir tidak normal secara fisik maupun mental. Maka perlu Lembaga gereja untuk lebih memperhatikan umat berkebutuhan khusus pada sistem pelayanannya. Desain Interior gereja juga dapat menjadi salah satu solusi dalam pemberian fasilitas bagi jemaat berkebutuhan khusus sebagai bentuk kepedulian gereja terhadap umat berkebutuhan khusus. Desain Interior gereja juga akan membantu kegiataan pelayanan dan psikologi setiap umat yang datang untuk beribadah dengan tetap mengikuti perkembangan zaman yang semakin modern akan tetapi tetap menanamkan nilai-nilai kekristenan yaitu salah satunya ketaatan. Salah satu kisah Alkitab mengenai ketaatan yaitu Nuh dalam membuat bahtera. Konsep bahtera Nuh ini akan diterapkan dalam interior gereja. Diharapkan jemaat akan semakin yakin bahwa dengan taat kepada perintah-perintah Tuhan, maka akan selamat dari hancurnya dunia. Desain interior gereja yang dirancang dengan fungsi kepedulian jemaat berkebutuhan khusus dan konsep bahtera Nuh diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat secara langsung maupun tidak langsung dalam pemberian kepedulian terhadap seluruh umat kristiani, pemberian nilai-nilai iman kristen dan meningkatkan citra lembaga gereja di mata pemerintah. ==================================================================================================================================
GSJS Pakuwon Mall Church is one of the public facilities used for Christian worship in Surabaya. With the existence of the state basis in the 1945 Constitution that every Indonesian citizen is entitled to the right to worship without any restrictions. Therefore, worship facilities are not only for people who are born with normal physical and mental health, but also for people with special needs. Not many churches care about providing facilities for people with special needs. Many of them are wheelchair users and children with special needs who were born physically or mentally abnormal. So it is necessary for church institutions to pay more attention to people with special needs in their service system. Church Interior Design can also be a solution in providing facilities for congregations with special needs as a form of church concern for people with special needs. The interior design of the church will also help with the activities of the ministry and the psychology of every member of the congregation who comes to worship while keeping abreast of developments in an increasingly modern era but still instilling Christian values, one of which is obedience. One of the Bible stories about obedience is Noah in making the ark. The concept of Noah's ark will be applied in the interior of the church. It is hoped that the congregation will be increasingly convinced that by obeying God's commandments, they will be saved from the destruction of the world. The interior design of the church which is designed with the function of caring for congregations with special needs and the concept of Noah's Ark is expected to provide benefits directly or indirectly in providing care for all Christians, imparting the values of the Christian faith and increasing the image of the church institution in the eyes of the government.
