Abstract
Pabrik pembuatan biodiesel dilakukan melalui proses esterifikasi dan transestrifikasi. Pabrik biodiesel ini direncanakan untuk berjalan dengan kapasitas 200.000 kiloliter/tahun sepanjang 330 hari per tahun. Pabrik ini diharapkan akan menghasilkan biodiesel untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ekspor dan dalam negeri. Bahan baku yang digunakan dalam pembuatan pabrik biodiesel adalah minyak sawit mentah dan metanol. Pabrik ini direncanakan akan dibangun di Kabupaten Rokan Hulu, Provinsi Riau, untuk memberikan kemudahan terhadap transportasi bahan baku dan produk akhir karena pasar untuk kedua produk sudah tersedia secara lokal. Esterifikasi dan transesterifikasi akan dilakukan pada suhu 60°C dan pada tekanan 1 atm menggunakan reaktor alir tangki berpengaduk dengan tingkat konversi reaksi 93% dan 98%. Dari studi evaluasi ekonomi pabrik ini, disimpulkan bahwa didapatkan penaksiran modal (CAPEX) sebesar Rp. 775.781.414.146,87; biaya operasional (OPEX) sebesar Rp. 2.198.585.382.496. Berdasarkan analisa ekonomi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pabrik biodiesel dengan kapasitas 200.000 kiloliter/tahun adalah beresiko rendah dan layak secara ekonomis. Berdasarkan kondisi operasi sifat-sifat bahan baku dan produk, pabrik Biodiesel dari Minyak Kelapa Sawit ini tergolong pabrik beresiko rendah. Berdasarkan analisa ekonomi terhadap pabrik ini menunjukkan nilai kekayaan yang dihasilkan (NPV) sebesar Rp 1.154.960.289.580, laju pengembalian modal (IRR) didapatkan sebesar 29% dengan bunga pinjaman 7,95% per tahun. Waktu pengembalian modal (POT) selama 3,74 tahun. Titik impas (BEP) sebesar 23%. Dari data analisa kelayakan di atas disimpulkan bahwa pabrik ini menguntungkan dan layak untuk didirikan.

The biodiesel production plant is carried out through the esterification and transesterification processes. The biodiesel plant is planned to run with a capacity of 200,000 kiloliters/year for 330 days per year. This plant is expected to produce biodiesel to meet export and domestic needs. The raw materials used in the manufacture of biodiesel plants are crude palm oil and methanol. This factory is planned to be built in Riau Province, to provide convenience for the transportation of raw materials and final products because the market for both products is already available locally. Esterification and transesterification will be carried out at a temperature of 60°C and at a pressure of 1 atm using a stirred tank flow reactor with a reaction conversion rate of 93% and 98%. From this factory economic evaluation study, it was concluded that the estimated capital (CAPEX) was Rp. 775,781,414,146.87; operational costs (OPEX) of Rp. 2,198,585,382,496. Based on the economic analysis, it can be concluded that a biodiesel plant with a capacity of 200,000 kiloliters/year is low risk and economically feasible. Based on the operating conditions and the properties of raw materials and products, this biodiesel plant from Palm Oil is classified as a low-risk factory. Based on the economic analysis of this factory, it shows that the resulting wealth value (NPV) is Rp. 1,154,960,289,580, the rate of return on capital (IRR) is 29% with an interest rate of 7.95% per year. Payback period (POT) for 3.74 years. Break even point (BEP) by 23% From the feasibility analysis data above, it is concluded that this factory is profitable and feasible to establish.
