Abstract
Konsep dari memori dapat memberikan konteks bagi isu, konsep “absence bring presence” dimana ketidakhadiran menghadirkan kehadiran bagi suatu subjek. Konsep ini menjadi multitafsir karena setiap individu memiliki memori dan perasaannya masing-masing, yang membuatnya menjadi kolektif adalah memori ini dirasakan oleh banyak orang di waktu dan tempat yang sama maupun berbeda. Rasa kehilangan atau ketidakhadiran inilah yang memercik ingatan memori, bisa dengan orang, barang, kebutuhan dll. Memori yang teringat ini hadir dikarenakan ketidakhadiran subjek yang ada pada memori tersebut, yang berkaitan dengan konsep “absence bring presence”, memori individual yang dirasakan oleh tiap individu yang banyak menjadikan perasaan dari memori tersebut menjadi memori kolektif subjektif. Arsitektur, seperti memori, terdiri dari gambar. Memori, seperti arsitektur, dibangun melalui hubungan antara gambar, kerangka kerja untuk memahami ruang dan waktu. Penempatan diri dalam kerangka ini membentuk definisi pribadi tentang tempat, dan pengakuan akan suatu hubungan, ikatan, antara satu tempat dengan tempat lain mewujudkan keseluruhan persepsi. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan manusia dengan tempat melalui citra arsitektur sebagai memori: pengalaman lapisan sejarah, waktu, tempat, dan hubungan mereka.

The concept of memory can provide context for issues, the concept of "absence brings presence" where absence brings presence to a subject. This concept has multiple interpretations because each individual has their own memories and feelings, what makes it collective is that this memory is felt by many people at the same or different times and places. It is this sense of loss or absence that sparks memories, it can be with people, things, needs, etc. This remembered memory is present due to the absence of a subject in that memory, which is related to the concept of "absence brings presence", an individual memory that is felt by each individual which makes many feelings from the memory a subjective collective memory. Architecture, like memory, consists of images. Memory, like architecture, is constructed through relationships between images, a framework for understanding space and time. Placing oneself within this framework forms a personal definition of place, and the recognition of a relationship, a bond, between one place and another embodies the whole perception. Its aim is to explore human relationships with places through architectural imagery as memory: the experience of layers of history, time, place, and their relationships.
