Abstract
Baterai lithium ion merupakan baterai yang diaplikasikan karena kelebihannya yang bisa diisi ulang. Baterai selama proses penggunan nya akan menghasilkan panas. Panas tersebut dihasilkan dari energi selama proses perubahan energi kimia ke listrik dan siklus perpindahan elektron, oleh sebab itu sistem pendingin pada baterai sangat dibutuhkan sebagai solusi untuk mengendalikan panas. Phase change material(PCM) merupakan salah satu sistem pendingin pasif yang memiliki keunggulan mudah dalam proses pengaplikasian dan tidak memerlukan daya dalam sistem pendingin nya, namun PCM yang digunakan pada penelitian kali ini menggunakan PCM parafin yang memiliki konduktivitas termal yang rendah sehingga ditambahkan aluminium foil. Aluminium foil juga termasuk salah satu sistem pendingin pada baterai dimana aluminium foil memmiliki konduktivitas termal yang tinggi, yang berarti dapat dengan efisien menghantarkan panas dari sel-sel baterai ke PCM dan sebaliknya. Tetapi bukan hanya aluminium foil yang di ditunujukan ada copper foil dan nickel foil kira-kira mana yang bagus untuk dipadukan dengan PCM parafin. Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk menemukan kinerja termal yang baik. Dilakukan penelitian dengan melakukan simulasi dengan PCM parafin dengan tebal 9 mm dan variasi ketebalan aluminium foil, copper foil dan nickel foil dengan ketebalan yang sama 6µm,7µm,14µm. Didapatkan hasil Copper foil memiliki penurunan temperatur yang baik. Baterai dengan temperatur maksimal 347.510°K, PCM 9 mm dengan temperatur maksimal 338.873°K. Copper foil dengan tebal 6µm, 7µm, 14µm dengan maksimum temperatur 319.391°K, 317.214°K, 314.787°K. Mampu menurunkan temperatur baterai dengan PCM tebal 9 mm 8,637°K Copper foil dengan ketebalan 6µm, 7µm, 14µm mampu menurunkan temperatur baterai sebesar 28.119°K, 30.296°K, 32.793°K.

Litium-ion batteries are batteries thatare applied because of their rechargeable advantages. The battery during the process of using it will produce heat. Itisproduced from energy during the process of changing chemical energy to electricity and the electron transfer cycle, therefore the cooling system in batteries is needed as a solution to control heat. Phase change material (PCM) is one of the passive cooling systems that has the advantage of being easy in the application process and does not require power in the cooling system, namun PCM used in this study uses PCM paraffin which has low thermal conductivity so that aluminum foil is added. Aluminum foil is also one of the cooling systems in batteries where a luminium foil has a high termal conductivity, which means it can efficiently conduct heat from the battery cells to the PCM and vice versa. But it's not just aluminum foil that is recommended, there are copper foil and nickel foil, which ones are good to combine with PCM paraffin. This research aims to find good thermal performance. Research was conducted by simulating with PCM paraffin with a thickness of 9 mm and variations in the thickness of a luminium foil, copper foil and nickel foil with the same thickness of 6μm, 7μm, 14μm. Copper foil has a good temperature drop. Batherai with a maximum temperature of 347.510°K, PCM 9 mm with a maximum temperature of 338.873°K. Copper foil with a thickness of 6μ m, 7μm 14μm with a maximum temperature of your 319.392°K, 317.214°K, 314.787°K. Able to reduce battery temperature with PCM thickness 9 mm 8,637°K Copper foil with a thickness of 6μm, 7μm, 14μm can reduce battery temperature by 28.119°K, 30.296°K, 32.723°K.
