Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas lingkungan menjadi urgensitas saat ini dengan sektor kualitas seperti peningkatan nilai dari suatu lahan hingga penyelesaian masalah perkotaan dari segi masyarakat atau populasi. Hal ini juga tercerminkan dengan kondisi kawasan yang tidak berkembang menjadikan kebutuhan akan peningkatan kualitas sangat tinggi. Kota Kendari dengan cita-cita mewujudkan kawasan yang berkembang lewat konstitusinya untuk tahun 2030 belum menunjukan adanya perkembangan yang signifikan terutama pada kawasan strategis yaitu kawasan Kota Lama dengan potensi dan budaya yang besar. Dalam konteks objek perancangan kota, hal tersebut membutuhkan adanya suatu pembaharuan akan objek vital kawasan yaitu Pasar Ikan di kawasan Kota Lama dengan pendekatan redevelopment yang terintegrasi dengan konsep urban catalyst. Melihat hal tersebut, langkah dengan pendekatan peremajaan kota menjadi langkah yang solutif untuk penyelesaian permasalahan. Hal ini juga didukung dengan pendekatan berupa plug in urban design sebagai bentuk pengembangan kawasan.
