Abstract

This Final Project comes from observing the performance of operational systems in industrial internship activities at PT. Indonesian Telecommunications Infrastructure (Telkom Infra) which prioritizes the cost effectiveness of fuel maintenance financing for generator sets and BTS equipment, so it has not paid special attention to the performance and efficiency of the existing hybrid system, and PLTS maintenance. This final project discusses the performance of the installed hybrid system owned by PT. Cellular Telecommunications (PT. Telkomsel) located at the Talaga Site, Sapudi Island, Madura, Indonesia, ranging from performance, efficiency of each power supply, to the correlation between solar panel power output to temperature, humidity, and sunlight intensity at the Talaga Site, Pulau Sapudi Indonesia. By calculating the performance of the hybrid system, starting from the solar panel, namely the daily load energy requirement on the BTS for 48 hours of 84,356.2 Wh, the capacity of the solar module is 20,304.56 Wp, the Solar Charge Controller is 376.1 A, the battery is 5,207.2 Ah used in solar panel systems. And the battery backup time when there is no sunlight with a DoD value of 90% from the datasheet is 3.32 hours. Solar panel efficiency is available for 14 hours starting from 8.50% -14.80%, generator efficiency available for 21 hours is 28.58-37.35%, hybrid efficiency is available for 4 hours worth 21.46% -24.68 %, and the remaining 9 hours run by the energy reserves stored in the battery. Furthermore, the results of the correlation between solar intensity, temperature, humidity and solar panel power output at the Talaga Site, Sapudi Island, Madura, namely the higher the intensity of sunlight, the higher the temperature, and followed by lower humidity, will affect the higher power, so and conversely, the lower the intensity of sunlight, the lower the temperature, and the higher the humidity, causing a decrease in power. So it can be concluded that the performance of the PT. Telkomsel Site Talaga installed has not met all the energy needs of the daily load, so it needs help from a generator that produces a hybrid system with suggestions to repair 24 solar panels, 2 Solar Charge Controllers, 6 Batteries, and start carrying out maintenance on solar panel devices, and solar charge controllers periodically, in order to produce more to minimize generator work.
