Abstract
Rantai merupakan salah satu jenis transmisi yang sering digunakan pada berbagai komponen mesin sebagai penyalur daya yang kuat yang terdiri dari rangkaian komponen pin yang saling terhubung dengan plat penghubung sehingga memiliki fleksibilitas tinggi dalam pengaplikasiannya. Rantai memanfaatkan daya tarik yang disalurkan antar poros yang berputar yang terhubung dengan sprocket. Kesalahan dalam perancangan sistem transmisi rantai dapat menimbulkan efek negatif pada kendaraan serta memperbesar potensi kecelakaan, sehingga perlu dilakukan analisa gaya dan daya pada sistem transmisi rantai dengan perhitungan teoritis yang diaplikasikan pada mobil Nogogeni Double Seat (DS) 1.
Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan analisa pada kebutuhan daya dan sistem transmisi rantai yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan daya mobil Nogogeni Double Seat 1. Dimulai dengan perhitungan kebutuhan daya mobil, perhitungan daya desain dan torsi, pemilihan nomor rantai, analisa kecepatan rantai, panjang rantai, gaya pada rantai, dan kekencangan rantai. Sehingga didapatkan rancangan sistem transmisi rantai yang sesuai dengan perhitungan yang diharapkan mobil akan mencapai performa terbaiknya.
Setelah melakukan perhitungan teoritis dalam penelitian ini, maka didapatkan besar gaya traksi minimum yang dibutuhkan mobil Nogogeni Double Seat 1 yaitu pada kecepatan konstan dengan kondisi menanjak sebesar 793,374 N, besar daya minimal yang dibutuhkan mobil untuk bergerak adalah 13,22 KW, dengan tipe rantai yang sesuai adalah rantai nomor 60 dengan panjang rantai 1092,68 mm, Kecepatan rantai sebesar 7,371 m/s sehingga kecepatan rantai rol yang direncanakan masih didaerah kecepatan izin.

Chain is one type of transmission that is often used in various machine components as a strong power distributor consisting of a series of pin components that are interconnected with connecting plates so that they have high flexibility in their application. The chain utilizes traction which is transmitted between rotating shafts which are connected to the sprockets. Errors in the design of the chain transmission system can cause negative effects on the vehicle and increase the potential for accidents, so it is necessary to analyze the force and power of the chain transmission system with theoretical calculations that are applied to the Nogogeni Double Seat (DS) 1 car.
In this study, an analysis was carried out on the power requirements and chain transmission system according to the power requirements of the Nogogeni Double Seat 1 car. Starting with the calculation of the car's power requirements, calculation of design power and torque, selection of chain number, analysis of chain speed, chain length, force on the chain , and chain tension. So that the design of the chain transmission system is obtained in accordance with the calculations expected that the car will achieve its best performance.
After performing the theoretical calculations in this study, the minimum tractive force required for the Nogogeni Double Seat 1 car is obtained, namely at a constant speed with an uphill condition of 793.374 N, the minimum power required for the car to move is 13.22 KW, with a chain type that according to chain number 60 with a chain length of 1092.68 mm, a chain speed of 7.371 m/s so that the planned roller chain speed is still in the permit speed area.
